Dr. John C Wood, MD

Dr. Wood has been my doctor for about 20 years. He is excellent. He listens and does not rush you out, until both you and he are sure that your issie(s) are fully addressed???

People who complained about time were patients at Beacon Health where they tried to mke him see patients every 15 mins or so. That is one reason he left. Now his wonderful and homey office does it at a rate he works at. One time at beacon he spent over an hour with me and corrected meds I needed and the health dept gave me when I was going out of the country-- saved my life, as he did for my sister in law on another occasion. If you want a sweet talker find a counselor-- if you want a superb diagnostician and traight shooter he is your man.

I felt like Dr. Wood really understood what is going on with me. The staff at his new office is incredible and made me feel so at home. I'm hopeful that Dr. Wood is going to get me healthier!

This Doctor is very intelligent, BUT unless you are retired and have at least 3 to 4 hours for each visit AND can see him every 5-6 weeks he will literally discontinue seeing you.

Dr. Wood is extremely determined to assess your health status, set a plan in action to improve your health, and follow up with you so that you achieve your best Possible health.

Dr. Wood is very rude. I went to an appointment with my mother after a hospitalization. I am a nurse and had many questions and comments. Things were going okay until he felt he was "running over his allotted time". I asked one more question and he put his hand up and said, "STOP...JUST STOP!" When we left his office, I told my mother it was time for her to change doctors. Nobody should be treated like that...especially when we are paying HIM! I would never recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Wood fixed my cholesterol by paying attention to my thyroid, which was low and needed medicine to function properly. On follow up, was concerned about my blood pressure, and had me track it for 6 weeks. On follow up, prescribed medicine to address blood pressure, but to my great immediate relief on an unrelated problem (a month-long sinus infection that had not responded to antibiotics), gave me steroid shots and spray to address my symptoms immediately, in the short term, and over the longer run. Halleluiah!! Thank you, Dr. Wood! So glad I found you. Very thoughtful and caring doctor.

he will not let you talk to him. He is hateful and continuallly fussing about the paperwork he has to fill out.

Dr. Wood is a great doctor - what he lacks in personality is easily over-looked with his kowledge,professionalism and caring. If you ask for a hug, he gladly gives one. He is a nice man and very respectful.

This doctor was astonishingly rude to me; actually offensive. He apparently disagreed with a previous doctor's treatment, & made remarkably negative & unprofessional comments,about that doctor, me and even my wife. He also ignored significant lab findings, which fortunately were caught later by another MD. This guy needs to be in research, not imposed upon actual patients, especially when they're not feeling well.
