Dr. John Mitchell Zambos, MD

19 years ago today you performed a modified radical mastectomy and saved my life. Just wanted to say thank you for your skill and care.

I am 71, overweight, have cardiac damage and 2 stents, not very physically active. I met Dr. Z when I awakened in the hospital after my colonoscopy, which revealed a growth- initial office visit scheduled by HIM right there. Research described him as competent, but arrogant, terrible bedside manner-When I arrived, I waited more than an hour. BUT when I entered the exam room, he had biopsy results, CAT scan on his phone- my file open, he was thoroughly familiar with the information -spent whatever time I needed to explain the surgery details (hysterectomy and colon resection, ) -made a recommendation for a gynecological co-surgeon and gave his reasons- answered all my questions -- did not rush me at all--2nd (pre-op) visit, (another long wait)- he had already put together the surgical team- again spent time to answer any questions I had--4.5 hour surgery, minimal post-op pain - he visited/checked incision every day, explained normal recovery process, told me what to do to speed… recovery- nurses not afraid to call him, spoke well of him- his office person, Crystal, is efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable, easy to reach, makes sure Dr. Z is aware of patient contacts- I do not consider him arrogant, he is confident of his surgical ability, and my results indicate he should be. 3 weeks after my surgery, I can eat everything, my incision (about 9" due to gynecological issues) is a thin pink line, I have energy, no post surgical problems. In my opinion, small town Titusville is lucky to have such an excellent surgeon.

I had rectal cancer and Dr.Zambos saved my life. I am a retired surgical nurse and I know he's a very good surgeon. He has a dry sense of humor which I can appreciate. When my mother died of colon cancer he was very sincere. My only complaint is the wait time.

Don't let this man near you with a scalpel.

Dr Zambos is straight forward and factual. My wife and I feel he is a gift to Titusville.

Saved my life. If your looking for someone to save your life and take the correct action when needed, then Zambos is the ones. If your looking for someone to have a chat with, he is not. One of the Best Surgeon in town.

Never on time for his patients who have scheduled appointments. Had surgery no follow up call from office to see how your doing. When you have concerns about surgery complications good luck seeing the on call doctor refused to see me just advised without even taking time to see you. Very disappointed in care and staff not polite
