He is such a bad doctor who never gave me alternative option treatment except to do surgery.

I had a brain aneurysm bleed, and ended up in er.. he clipped my aneurysm and placed a vp shunt and saved my life. I owe a lot to him. My only complaint is unrealistic. he is on call a lot so his schedule is hectic to see him if you have an issue, and often end up with his assistant.

I had broken my back in a accident. He was on call for scared heart hospital, by the time I arrived at the hospital he was already there waiting to assess me and how bad my back was. I was in the hospital for more than a week. Every day he came and checked on me to see how I was doing. I was also taken care of by him afterwards finding some blood clots in my leg, he was very caring and understanding of my condition and made sure I was taken care of by him and my family doctor. I would recommend him to any one that I know that needs any type of back surgery. If it wasn't for him I would of been paralyzed at the age of 24.

Dr. Carlson's office staff needs to return calls. Patients who are in extreme pain need to be assisted as soon as possible. Waiting hours or into the next day is not acceptable. Managing pain should not mean giving elderly people more narcotics for the pain. How can anyone heal if they are unable to function, think straight or speak clearly. AFTER CARE MUST BE CONSIDERED A PRIORITY FOR THE OVERALL WELL BEING OF THE PATIENT, NOT JUST THE SURGERY.
