Dr. Jonathan Willard Hopkins

Dr Hopkins did my L4-5 laminectomy 23 years ago. I have never forgotten him because I have always known he made all the difference between living a life of pain versus living pain-free. I had a severe herniation w/ radiculopathy to my L toes and lost reflexes in that leg. Before surgery my pain was 10/10. After surgery, my pain was 0/10. I will always be grateful and will always regard him w/ high esteem. I have worked as a nurse case manager for over 20 years, and my experience has enabled me to encourage others w/ back injuries to understand that surgery is not always the "worst" option. Dr Hopkins was understanding, sympathetic and talented. Other nurses I have known who have worked w/ him over the years have also respected his expertise. I even had a very good nurse friend who claimed, "I have his name tatooed on my skull in case I ever have a head injury and end up in the hospital needing a neurosurgeon!" He's terrific!
