Dr. Jonathan Horwitz, MD

Dr. Horwitz joined the practice in 1975. He graduated from the University of Cape Town Medical School and did his residency in Pediatrics at the Long Island Jewish Hospital, New York, followed by a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Horwitz is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Cornell University and recently retired after 25 years as a Pediatric Consultant to New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services. He is also a Pediatric Attending at the North Shore-LIJ Health System. In his spare time, he is a silversmith and silver jeweler who has been exhibited in galleries in SOHO, South Africa and Australia. He is also a joyful baby sitter to two very active grandchildren.
