Went to Dr. Schaffer and the CC after numerous doctors could not find the solution to my knee replacement. He took a ton of Xrays to identify the problem, which was the replacement was separating. Then ordered bloodwork to ascertain if there was any infection that would prohibit him from doing a revision. I have total confidence that he has identified and will correct the problem. The comments about being late is because he spends more time with his patients than any other Dr. I have know.

Great visit, assessed my issues and provided exactly what I needed, a possible solution to my knee problems. Well worth the wait and visit.

I waited over an hour 2 times seeing this doctor. The second time I had to leave before he even came in to see me. No one came to explain what was happening that I was waiting so long. I made a comment about this doctor not caring about how long he makes patients wait. I had another appointment and received a call the day before telling me he was too busy to see me.....and he would be for the next 8 weeks. He is arrogant and uncaring. I would run to see a different doctor. He was not helpful at all.

When I needed to have a total knee replacement, I wanted a surgeon who had done the procedure so many times that he could do it blindfolded. You get that kind of skill with Dr. Schaffer,

Dr. Schaffer is the most arrogant uncompassionate doctor I have ever met. He could really benefit from some anger management therapy and bedside manner training.

My experience with this doctor was absolutely horrible. I am overweight and have knee pain. I went to him for a second opinion just because I wanted a second opinion. My treating doctor has told me that I need a full knee replacement in both knees and after research I thought thus doctor would be a good choice for a second opinion. I think he was offended that I was asking for a second opinion, I'm not sure, but he was rude, telling me that no surgeon in the country would replace my knees. Now, admittedly I am overweight, but really? He said many other rude things as well. And this man is by no means thin himself. I left the appt and a nurse that was with him followed me out to apologize and tell me that he was so sorry for the way I was treated. DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE DOCTOR!
