Shock and Despair: He Violently, Without Warning, Tore Out My Vaginal Tissue along with the dry gauze packing. The packing was not saturated with saline solution to be removed gingerly, as is protocol. My newly sutured vaginal tissue swung back and forth from his hand raised high in the air to suspend the gauze off the floor. It was adhered to the gauze in thumb and finger shaped segments. Huge gobs of my pale pink vaginal tissue. Gavin Shumate performed a hysterectomy and oophorectomy on me. The following morning, he tore out the long strip of gauze packing with brute force without warning, and without having saturated the gauze with saline solution to gently loosen it bit by bit. All of my newly sutured, raw vaginal flesh was torn out of my body and clung to the gauze. This resulted in pain, scarring and continuous bleeding to this day. This resulted in my inability to have relations. Furthermore, when I asked him during the follow-up visit about the surgery he conducted, he… just placed his palms together, sort of curtsied and then just turned them back and forth in front of me. He didn't say a word. I've tried several expensive treatments without relief. He suggested I work it out with the doctor who performed the bladder repair. She kept saying she was sure that there was more than ample vaginal flesh when she completed her surgery. SHE WAS RIGHT.
