With Cigna insurance for one visit I was charged a total of $1,551. This included an auditory exam, $1,003, examination by a resident, $33, a facility fee for the privilege of being in his office, $361, and last, by Dr Sillman who saw me for 8 minutes, $154. Diagnosis: come back in a year for another exam.

if your in his office you should be there for his medical knowledge and skill. he is a surgeon, not a life coach. Dr.Sillman will give direct answers and not always in the way you want to hear it. Who cares, I'm there for his skill not his bedside manner.

I’ve been battling a debilitating inner ear condition that impacts my balance greatly. I went in to see this doctor with a recent audiology report, imaging results, imaging discs, and notes from prior physicians. All of these back up my complaints. I start describing my disequilibrium symptoms of instability, ears feeling blocked as if in a plane 24/7, fluid in ears, and “spacing out” whenever I’m in a crowded place or an area with a lot of noise. This gentleman interjects immediately with great excitement to point out the “spacing out” in crowds has nothing to do with the inner ear. He really wanted to get a “win” for some reason when I’m there to address my condition not get into a contest. I contemplated leaving but figured I might as well stick it out at this point. I go on to explain why I am there. Another ENT pointed out to me that a CT scan showed I may have an inner ear fluid leak, and I should follow up with a neurotologist to see one way or another. This man becomes filled… with glee once again as he tells me that condition can’t be diagnosed via ct scan. I explain it was suggested in the radiology report and I’d like to rule it out or confirm it as I do have the symptoms that would be consistent with the diagnosis. Instead of telling me he’s not familiar with this sort of thing and referring me elsewhere like he should, he starts making statements that are simply not true. Saying that a perilymph leak must be accompanied with hearing loss(which I do not have) and spinning vertigo(also do not have). The doctor fails to grasp logic at a very elementary level. He believes that just because he has seen SOME cases before with both hearing and vestibular symptoms, then ALL MUST suffer with both components. He states that the chronic imbalance and unsteadiness I suffer from is not consistent with the perilymph leak. He then prints me out the symptoms from VEDA and realizes/admits it is consistent but has a tough time believing I could have it with no hearing issues. I looked down and informed him I will be seeking help elsewhere after exchanging pleasantries.

I had a surgery in 2013 because of bells palsy. sillman recommend I had a surgery, so we did the surgery. after waiting 3 weeks I got a date for surgery and then he rescheduled me. so now 3 more weeks later Im in the hospital all prepped for surgery and he tells me we need to reschedule again, anyways I finally get the surgery and long story short I now suffer from hearing loss and tinnitus do to his negligents. don't go to him he'll ruin your life

I had a diagnosis and Dr. Sillman was supposed to treat me. He barely looked in my ear. Told me I was fine. Even though His colleague told me I had Eustachion tube Dysfunction. Never sent me for any tests. Ignored the symptoms I told him I was having. Not a personable Doctor. Never choose this doctor.

Worse doctor..very rude to patients. Doesn't listen to patient problems. No respect to patient concerns.

Dr Sillman implanted me 16 years ago with a cochlear implant. I'm still going strong. Before implant could only hear at 12% after 80%. I was born with normal hearing lost my hearing over night with toxemia of pregnancy. Dr Sillman gave me back my life. Thank you

Dr. Sillman was highly recommended to me, by my ENT surgeon. Dr. Sillman performed the necessary surgical procedures that safely removed this disease, allowing me to lead a normal life. I highly recommend Dr. Sillman if you need a second opinion, or require complex ENT surgery.
