Dr. Montalvan has been my primary care doctor for years. He has always been kind, patient, and clinically thorough in dealing with my issues. Most recently I came in to see him as Inwas feeling weak and dizzy. He immediately did an EKG, diagnosed me as being in atrial fibrillation, and sent me to the ER. After many tests his diagnosis was confirmed by a cardiologist and I had my heart rhythm reset. I am home now feeling much better. His prompt caring and knowledgeable attention was indispensable to my positive outcome.

Dr. Montalvan has been my primary care doctor for several years. He has always been there for me with all of my ongoing issues. Most recently I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes for which I started medication and an apprropriate diet. Even though I had lost weight I started feeling very fatigued and went to see him at the office. He did an immediate EKG and was found to be in atrial fibrillation. He called the paramedics and went straight into the ER at Delray Medical Center. He followed up with me daily and brought in a cardiologist who reset my heart rhythm. He is always there when needed and takes his time with his patients. I am fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Montalvan is a highly qualified physician and great diagnostician. He takes his time with patients and makes sure they understand their diseases and treatment. He is caring, empathetic, and always makes me feel comfortable. The office staff is wonderful and always helpful.

I asked him if he could prescribe Clonazepam for my anxiety and he made me feel as if I were a drug addict. He said that it was a controlled substance and that I could become addicted and he would no longer be able to treat me! Who says such things to a patient? He even went further as to say that he would check my medical records for drug addiction and that's when I lost it. I have never in all my life experienced such a humiliating experience. I told him that he had no bedside manner whatsoever and that he had made me feel horrible, he shrugged and most obviously did not care. I reported him to the office Manager, Elizabeth and told her that I would not be going to him again, that on my return to the office to check my blood test results from my yearly physical, I expected to see another doctor and not him. I will be changing primary physicians after that.

Very good doctor, caring and compassionate with good diagnostic skills. You do have to wait for extended times in the office. He won’t give lab results over the phone so it necessitates two appointments anytime you need lab work done which is most every time you see him. The lab is on premise so that is easy.

Great doctor took the time to answer all questions and with compassion.

Doctor Montalvan, is the best doctor i have been to in years. Unfortunately, he moved to Boca Raton, Florida. I am deeply saddened, and if he came back to New Jersey I would still be a patient.

Dr. Montalvan is very efficient andextremely patient. He's very thorough and takes plenty of time toanswer all your questions and concerns.He follows up your visit and is alwaysavailable when the need arises.
