Dr. Jose J Norberto, MD

I received triple bypass surgery from Dr. Norberto June14, 2018. After considerable research, including the Cleveland Clinic, I found the OhioHealth cardio unit was one of the top100 in the country. In fact, Dr. Brown, who heads up the department and his team, did more heart surgeries than any other doctor in Ohio during a 4 yr. period, with a 98% success rate (only 2% complications). He mentored Dr. Norberto, who headed up the heart unit at Lancaster hospital for 19 yrs. and has performed over 3,000 heart procedures. The after-surgery care was also outstanding with little wait whenever called. Both doctors require that you only see them for follow up treatment since they want to be in complete control of your recovery. There is not a single complaint I would have for the entire staff. They are all eminently qualified, courteous, and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend either doctor. And since it is close to home it’s also convenient!
