Dr. Joseph Axelrod, MD

I went in because I had a positive pregnancy test. I was 6 weeks pregnant. I had an ultrasound done early because I had 2 prior miscarriages. On the ultrasound there was just a gestational sac visable. When I see Dr. Axelrod he tells me that he should see the fetal pole and more than just the sac. At this point I'm hysterical. He continues to tell me it's not a viable pregnancy and that I'm just unlucky right now. He tells me that we should do a D&C Soni ask him when he tells me as soon as possible. I leave hystericallyrics crying after telling him I need to talk to my husband. I go back a week later to see a little blip on the ultrasound! I'm now 18 weeks! I hate to think about how many women had a D&C because he was so quick to jump to conclusions.

Today was my second time seeing Dr.axelrod. I can't say enough about Him and the staff. From the ease of making my appointment to the friendliness at the reception desk. Dr.Axelrod was prompt, kind and patient. He was also very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. I looked forever for a OB GYN that I liked and finally feel like found one!

Dr. Axelrod delivered my first child via an emergency c-section (because my son was not tolerating labor well). But it was in the hospitals quick response to my then little guy's heart rate dropping that Dr. Axelrod got there quick and performed it beautifully. I was a nervouse wreck I remember, but I agree that he has a truly wonderful bedside manner that put both my husband and I at ease. As my son is about to turn 8 years old now, I just look back and am so grateful he was there.

After having 3 kids ages 8, 7, & 6 I thought I was done. Well it didn't happen that way. I found out I was pregnant & was in need of an O.B. All my children were delivered by the same doctor whom retired that same day he delivered my third child. Its hard to find a good O.B. I went on a search & tried one doctor but wasn't happy. A friend from church who is a nurse recommended Dr. Axelrod & his office.....wow am I glad I took her on her word. They are all very nice & care for my needs. There are different doctors so each appt you'll get a different doctor both that I've gotten have been really nice. Dr. Axelrod made me feel so comfortable & he wasn't rough when he checked me vaginally. I've had doctors that hurt me because they are so rough. When I told him that he said, "there's no need for me to be rough if I don't have to be." All the staff is great & very lovely.

I've being seeing Dr. Axelrod for 5 years now and when I schedule an appointment, I specifically schedule with him our of the other doctors that practice at the office. Every appointment he not only explains everything is he doing but also makes me feel extremely comfortable. He is very easy to talk to, especially if I am having a problem. I have never felt awkward or uncomfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Axelrod.

I had to wait at least 20 minutes for almost every OB appointment, but it was worth the wait. Dr. Axelrod is great!
