The services I have received from Dr. Decker and the Eye Institute personnel have been the best. I highly recommend them.

If you or your loved one has any signs of, or diagnosed with glaucoma, RUN don't walk to another doctor. Dr. Decker cannot do the new glaucoma surgeries and is a waste of both your time and money. Further, his "office policy" is to have you come back for another office visit just to tell you about the field of vision test you had done the week before. We allll know those results are instantaneious and can be done immediately upon completion. It's his way of soaking up more money from his patients. It's a travesty and is barely legal in the eyes of medical billing ie Medicare. He does NOT like anyone asking questions or being involved in knowing about one's eye health care and what can be done... What he doesn't tell you is his limitations in the kind of eye surgery he CAN do as he cannot do what the very best glaucoma specialists can do(doesn't know how to do these!). Unfortunately, the longer the glaucoma stays at high pressure readings, the more permanent damage is done...... … and that's where we are. Honesty and the newest in sugery procedures for glaucoma is NOT what you will get here. If you care about NOT becoming blind, please go elsewhere... I mean this sincerely... If you notice his office staff, they come and they go...fairly quickly. And, they sure make sure you get your next appointment, as that is how the money keeps rolling in. We've wasted so many years in his office needlessly coming back for appointments that should have and could have been scheduled at one sitting. Also, don't expect him to get you a good read on any glasses you may need, because he cannot get that correct as well. We wasted thousands trying to make do with his terrible glasses rx.. Go elsewhere for this as well. But, he sure won't tell you that he doesn't know how to even check your eyes for glasses rx...he'll just keep wasting your money. He needs a reality check and a course in truth telling
