Dr. Joseph Frank Dilustro, MD

Dr Dilustro literally saved my life. I was sick for a very long time. I got blown off by lots of doctors, Specialist , you name it. I was having massive headaches and it was just getting blown off as stress in this and that. Long story. short.. I woke up one night horrible horrible headache. Last thing I remember was going to the kitchen to get some Tylenol. I fell out into a seizure. My husband found me. Fortunately I was rushed to the hospital and I had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage.. Dr. Dilustro happen to be on call that night so I was blessed that he was because he was a cool doctor he made you feel comfortable, even though I was scared to death. But he saved my life and I still talk about him to this day and the reason I looked him up was because somebody I know was looking for a good neurosurgeon. I had heard that he had left Norfolk Virginia.. so would that be sad if anybody needs an excellent neurosurgeon this is your Doctor . He was so nice to me. He was so cool at… the time too. He would come in and check on me before I went into surgery which I had to wait three days for the swelling to go down in my brain and he would check on me frequently and at that time he was into Harley Davidsons motorcycles . If he sees this he’s probably gonna think how does she even remember that? It’s just something that’s stuck with me when he came into the emergency room. I think he had his helmet in his hand or something. I can’t recall.. so if you happen to see this Dr. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my life. I wish you the best. I’m sure you probably won’t remember me, but I have never forgot you .

Dr. Dilustro is a truly amazing man! Our daughter was born at 3lbs. 9oz. with Teatherd Cord Syndrome. As a result from the tethered cord, her bladder was shot. We were told she had neurogenic bladder and her chances of having a normal working bladder again was 30%. We were told she could have to use a catheter for the rest of her life. About 6 months after Doctor Dilustro preformed her surgery she had absolutely no signs of a neurogenic bladder. Though we might have a few other issues to be concerned about, he has changed our lives forever and we cannot thank him enough! If there is any surgeon you can choose to trust, I recommend him!

Dr. Dilustro is wonderful! He's very direct- but he's also very caring. An outstanding surgeon. His staff is great,too!

i would NEVER consider takin my son to anyone else he is our gaurdian angel i do belive my son is blessed to have him as his doctor i have delt with many doctors in mine and my childrens lives and come across only one other as passinate about thier work and patints care and overall health

Wouldn't have anyone else! Dr. Dilustro and his staff have taken very good care of my child.

He saved my son's life once and I'm counting on him to do it again.
