Dr. Joseph Ettore Imbriglia, MD

I went to Dr Imbriglia to have a prior hand/wrist surgery corrected. Though I don’t doubt this Dr’s skill ( based on experience, alone ) 2 months removed from the surgery his optimism and congeniality seems to have faded. My biggest problems however have been with his staff. Frustrating to communicate with and unsympathetic to concerns top my lengthy list of grievances. 5 days after my surgery and after having taken pain meds as prescribed, I was told by Dr Imbriglia’s nurse that I shouldn’t still be in pain and was advised to ‘take some aspirin’. And that about said it all.

So far so good. This doctor was miles above the one I saw previously. He seems to have actually caught the problem and got us on to the right path. Very pleased.

I did not know that Dr. Imbriglia existed when I broke my wrist and had my first surgery, which did not go well. Dr. Imbriglia was thereafter highly recommended to me, and he accepted me as a patient. He helped me with his surgical skill and all follow-up visits. His office and surgical unit run like clockwork, and everyone is cordial and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Imbriglia for his superb expertise.

Instead of a steroid injection going into my wrist, apparently it hit a vein. 3 hours later I was in terrible pain. Used Advil for days to relieve it some. The next day the vein going up my arm had a dark color and was and still is very tender. My wrist still hurts. And no I did not go back or call the office because I wasn’t about to have him make my arm totally useless. This happened about 9 years ago. I can still see a faint gray color where my vein is and yes it still hurts when I touch it. It is very sensitive. Although he appears to get wonderful reviews, he messed up majorly and did permanent damage to me.

Dr I. Has been my hand doctor for almost 40 years...yes, 40. He has kept my arthritic fingers in working order through many various surgeries. I have never been dissatisfied with the results.

I am impressed with Dr. Imbriglia's quiet confidence and the time he takes to ensure that his patient understands the necessary procedure and the outcome of the procedure. I have decided to have my hand procedure with Dr. Imbriglia.

Can't say enough about all Dr. Joe has done for me and giving me the use of my hand and arm. Just putting me back together several times and kept me in action. Always number one in my heart, you're the best.

He had my diagnosis made before seeing me, exam was very limited. Workers comp claim was denied because of his diagnosis and he won't explain my diagonsis just gave me a pamphlet that didn't help explain anything. For being a top rated doctor I wasn't impressed.

My arm was paralyzed for almost a year befor I saw Dr. Imbriglia. Within 3 weeks he performed surgery on my arm and within 24 hours after the surgery I could lift my arm. Three years later I had the same problem with my other arm. I saw him immediately and was healed within months.

Dr. Imbriglia often has Residents or or Dr.'s in training present during office visits. I have found that he is sometimes so busy teaching them that he gives them more attention than he does me, the patient. To his credit, if I ask a question or require his attention, he will give it, but otherwise I feel like a third party of limited importance. Perhaps if this was pointed out to him, he would correct this behavior. I'm sure he is unaware of of what he is doing. He is a wonderful Dr. otherwise.
