Dr. Yiu-Cho Joseph Li, MD

Dr. Li is amazing. My wife and I saw Dr. Li 15 times during the pregnancy period. Everytime we learnt sth. from him. He is so experienced and knowledgeable. We love him. We are so glad that found him. He is so great!

Dr Li, so pleasant, caring and professional. He delivered my child and then 20 years later, he delivered my Grandchild! Dr. Li, you are a Godsend. May God forever bless you!

Dr. Li is really nice, energetic and fun. those are the only good things i can say about my time spent with him. i only saw him for my first month and a half of checkups, from week 7-14 then moved to a new doctor thereafter. this is my first pregnancy and of course, i am nervous and completely unaware of the process. all i knew is i needed a medical professional in this field to support me and my growing baby through this process. i needed to feel like me and my baby were both being cared for during this there were a few things i didn't like about dr. li and his office. every appointment was the same: id enter his single exam room office, get semi greeted by his main office admin who was really mean and stern and only accepted cash for co-pays, then once my name was called, i entered the small exam room (the only other room in the location besides his office) and he'd conduct a very short ultrasound (5mins max) where he checks the heart rate and then tells me to meet him in his… office next door. he'd literally rush in and out. although he was cheerful and happy the whole time, i didn't feel comfortable to tell him about issues i was having with my body, changes i was noticing, or other questions pertaining to be examined by him. once in his office, he lets me ask questions or talk freely. even during this experience i feel rushed and insecure because of how rushed it felt and there were times that i wanted him to examine me, but we were already in his office and i didn't know if my issues rendered an examination or not since i've never been pregnant before. i once told him i was having pains and he said "well do you think it's pregnancy? bc lets just blame the baby." and i thought, ok... well i'd like to know i'm ok and this is normal bc IVE NEVER HAD A BABY BEFORE so can you empathize a little? can you check me? can you give me more info, please? my husband got this vibe, too. we both were so confused by his behavior which to me, is a bad sign. BASICALLY, you shouldn't feel confused by your obstetrician, you should feel secure and happy. his office was also a total mess. papers everywhere and his things were so old and outdated. i felt many weird vibes here. the deal breaker to get a new doctor is that he kept changing our due date / week of pregnancy so early on. i was told the first trimester is the most important time to determine a baby's age. So, as normal procedure goes, weeks 11-13 is the time to conduct the down-syndrome blood-draw and ultrasound. i was under the impression i was on track and made an appointment with the perinatologist. when i arrived i was told that my baby was too big / too old to be given the test. basically dr li said i was 13 weeks and i was actually measuring 15 weeks and did not qualify for the blood work. as a result, my husband and i opted for the private (cash) test that did DNA testing which would cover us for what we missed. i was disappointed that we had to go this route and was then advised by the perinatologist to be concerned about the fluctuating age of a baby from an OB and she emphasized the importance of having a semi-accurate reading. when i found a new doctor, i was told the same thing and that i should have been told the correct age of my baby early on.

We were blessed to have Dr. Li, and his staff, great care of us during our pregnancy. He was very thorough with us, and answered all of our questions and concerns. On the day of the delivery, he cared for us like we were family. Needless to say, we appreciate every thing he and his staff have done for our family. Thank you Dr. Li, Pauline, and Vicky (I think that was her name).

Dr. Li has delivered 2 of my children he is a very good doctor in my eyes. I'm sorry for all of you who had bad experiences. I liked him so much that when I moved an hour away I still went to him for my app and made sure he delivered my babies. He was a very attentive doctor and made good on his word.

I found Dr. Lee from the internet. He has excellent system to get the appointment with him, if you are new patient and he was very nice at the first meeting. But after few meeting, he seems careless and he did not work professionally. He failed to decide when is my due date. Until the last minute I had contractions with my pregnancy. He still confused whether I need to have more observation or not. He'd like to frightened his patient without telling the truth. I had an infection in my vagina during 7 months pregnancy, he did a lab test through my vaginal fluid, I had to wait the result for more than 14 days. He did not call me to let me know the result. He also claimed it was not necessary to take any medicine. I was so frustrated because my vagina was itchy. So I went to the other doctor to cure it. I still have to paid the bills from Dr Lee. The front desk lady also very rude, she does not has the right manner and she should learn how to deal with the patients. Every time we need… assistance from her, she always said "that is not my business, that is your own business" ??@#$%$ Oh my God.. she is so unprofessional and had very bad manner. This is the first and last to use this doctor ever ever again.

I was very surprised when I read the negative comments on this site. I can only base my review on my personal experiences. Dr. Li saw me through a miscarriage and a molar pregnancy during the last year. I feel that the care I received from Dr. Li and his staff was excellent. He was always there when I needed to talk to him, which included answering my frantic calls on weekenights and weekends within 5 minutes of my leaving a message with his answering service. His diagnosis was correct in both cases. He also performed a D&C for my molar pregnancy and did an excellent job. During the office visits, needless to say I was very emotional, and he always took time to listen to my concerns and address all my questions.I am sorry about other patient's experiences. However, if I ever got pregnant again, based on my own experience I would definetely choose Dr. Li to be my doctor again.

Excellent doctor. He can level with you at all time, whether its a minor problem or life threatening problem

The staff gave me wrong doctor's appointment. Dr. Li took 4 years to find out I had grapefruit like fibroids after taking different labs and birth control. Dr. Li always rush (less than couple minutes) when my 3 days stay at the hospital for the abdominal myomectomy surgery. My frbroids came back within 18 months. Total abdominal hysterectomy had to be done. I changed doctor who is very details and explain everything. He didn't take his time to take care his patient and careless. I would not recommend at all.

I am sorry to read some of the comments on this site regarding Dr. Li. I have been going to Dr. Li for over two years, far longer than my relationships with any other physicians in any specilaty- mind you that I am very picky about my physicians. I can see what people mean about the visits being quick and about his humor. I personally love the sense of humor, and I can understand why visits may be quick- as I am work as an RN. He has many patients to tend to, but if you need him, he is there and WILL talk to you regarding all info and alternatives. Physicians in general are very busy, so it is only fair that he prioritize his time. This physician knows his stuff and always has the patients best interest in mind. Unlike many other OB's I know, he does not push cesareans to make extra money. He has proven with my two deliveries that patient safety is his number 1 concern. This is my second pregnancy and I have placenta previa. I only trust Dr. Li to deliver this baby. So much that I… dropped my free insurance from my employer (which Dr. Li was not a provider for) and paid for a PPO in order to have him on my case. This delivery will cost a few thousands, but it is well worth it. I feel that the others who wrote negative reviews should try another OB and compare; then they will see why Dr. Li is one of the best.
