Dr. Vella was willing to work me into his schedule the same day that I called for a consultation for a wrist fracture. He and his staff were very efficient and effective so that I could have the needed surgery within three days. The surgery went exactly as he had explained, no complications and ready to do PT within less than two weeks of the surgery.

I have used Dr. Vella for two separate hand issues. One for Dupuytren's Contracture and the second for severe arthritis in my left hand. My entire experience on both occasions was fantastic. The staff are professional, courteous and very attentive. They always make me feel like part of the family. Just a great experience.

Becky at the front desk and answering the phone was very unprofessional! I left the office after waiting an hour and no one could tell me how much an X-ray would cost. Dr. Vella didn’t have the professionalism to review the X-ray I already had done.

Doctor Vella performed hand surgery on my left hand (dominant hand). He removed 2 bones under my thumb and replaced the bones with a tendon from my forearm. This is a major surgery with about an 8-month recovery. For me, I had been in pain for over 4 years before deciding to have this surgery. Also, I decided to have the surgery during the COVID crisis. His office was exceptionally good (COVID protection included). I never waited for a response from his office during scheduling, surgery preparation, and after surgery support. Also, his office did a fantastic job and working with my therapy provider. I am now 3 months from the date I had surgery and now 80% recovered which is remarkable. I am so happy with the results. Doctor Vella and his staff are exceptional. Also, you can hardly find any surgical scares. They all care about their patients. I highly recommend Doctor Vella and his staff.

I have Dupytren's contracture and have had 6 surgeries since 1985. Dr. Vella came highly recommended to me by my last hand Physical Therapist. Both Dr. Vella and I were involved in the clinical trials of Ziaflex so I was comfortable with him from the outset. Our consultation was brief and the decision was made to have two injections. We injected on a Monday, released the following Wednesday and he wrote a script for PT. My follow up visit four weeks later showed dramatic improvement over the pre-surgery conditions so this was a resounding success. I highly recommend Dr. Vella for anyone considering Ziaflex injections.

I sought out the services of Dr. Josh Vella after many hours researching hand surgeons in the Valley. I am so happy I chose him! The result of my hand surgery with Dr. Vella has been life changing for me. You see, my initial consultation with Dr. Vella was because the 1st surgeon I trusted to complete my carpal tunnel procedure had left my hand non functional and in pain. Not only did Dr. Vella discover why my 1st surgery was unsuccessful, he was able to repair the damage to my wrist. Dr. Vella provided professional care during my surgery, my recovery and then monitored my physical therapy throughout several post op visits. After only a few months of healing, I have regained full function of my hand and I am pain free! Dr. Vella’s staff have been amazing to work with as well. I am self pay and found the financial department to be reasonable, fair and easy to work with. From the front desk personnel to the medical assistant to the physician’s assistant to Dr. Vella; all treated me… with kindness, respect and empathy for my pain and suffering. I saw Dr. Vella for a wrist/hand issue that resurfaced. I was impressed with the professionalism of his staff. They were friendly and welcoming. After filling out my health history information I waited about 5 minutes to be seen. Dr. Vella is a competent and likable physician and I happy to have found him. Having worked in the medical field for years it can be difficult to find a medical professional that will go the extra mile to communicate and discuss any and all questions without hesitation. I didn't feel rushed and after discussing a treatment plan we decided to proceed. I would gladly refer any of my family or friends to Dr. Vella if they need anything related to his field of expertise.
