Dr. Juan Pascal Suarez-Lopez, MD

Dr. Suarez has not only been my physician for many, many years, he has also been my parents and all my siblings/families physician. Bottom line, he has become a great friend over the years and I feel blessed to have him in my corner. Always the best no matter!!!

I made an appointment at 11:00am. I called in at 10:45 to see if he was running on time as I was taking off work. They told me that there were 5 patients in the waiting room ahead of me. I asked them if they would call me when there was only one ahead of me. They said they could not do that. I told them that I cannot wait in the waiting room for 2 hours they could not care less.

I thought I had a stomach/acid issue and it turned out to be clogged arteries around the heart. So glad I came to him as I was chasing the wrong self-diagnosis. Yes, he does go on a tangent with wars, guns, and foreign governments but this is due to his life experiences. I enjoy those conversations though so I never really thought he approaches everyone that way.

Staff are horrible and not caring at all.

One of the best darn primary care physicians that I ever had in all of my 60 years. Brilliant physician, extensive knowledge and great bed side manner. And he is one of the few and last Primary Care Physician that will actually follow you in the hospital, visit you everyday so that you do not have to deal with a General Hospitalist who doesn't know you and your medical history. This is the kind of physician that you want to invite over for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner every year.

After you wait half an hour outside in the waiting area and 50 minutes in the examining room, he treats patients with no respect. To give an example, I smoke cigarrettes. He said: I want an x-ray of the chest to see how your cancer of the lung is". It is not a joke to play with someone's health or predict such a bad illness without any reason. He made a joke of the situation of people in Venezuela that was very disgusting! He doesn't check on you anything. One star is too much. for him.

I just moved to the Winter Park area and my old PCP was located in Dr. Phillips so I decided to give this doctor a shot. I roughly had the same experience as the other two reviewers. I set up an appointment as a new patient for 9:15 am which I had to take time off of work for, about 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I walk up to the receptionist and ask what the delay is as I had to get back to work. She informed me the the doctor wasn't even in the building and was actually at a hospital down the street because "he had a lot of patients yesterday" which doesn't make any sense to me at all. I asked her how long the wait was going to be and she literally shrugged her shoulders and said she doesn't know. I asked what the point of scheduling an appointment was if the doctor wouldn't even be in the building when the appointment took place, nor could they let me know how long it would take for him to be there, and the receptionist LITERALLY rolled her eyes as she gave out a… weak apology akin to "I'm sorry you feel that way". When I asked when she was going to inform me of this instead of just having me sit in the waiting room, her reply was "I just did". She then halfheartedly offered to reschedule my appointment for the end of the following month because "that's the next time we have a slot available for new patients". Now she's either a scheduling wizard, or just completely lied to me because she never looked in her computer, or in any time of document to know if this is actually the case or not, she just blurted out that I wouldn't be able to be seen until the end of the next month. I never got a chance to actually see this doctor, because of the incompetence of his office staff with regards to scheduling patients, but even if I did get the chance, the sheer disrespect towards people's time is so abhorrent I wouldn't have gone back either way. Long story short, until this doctor fires his staff and replaces them with even halfway competent people, STAY AWAY. Take your money, your insurance, and your time to someone who actually values their patients.

Best professional doctor in town!

I saw this doctor for the first time a couple of months ago for a stomach problem. The doctor did not introduce himself and didn't allow me to even explain my condition to him. Based on very few questions he wrote me for a lot of different lab work and imagining studies. He said he is doing all these tests because he doesn't know what's wrong with me. Of course he would not, he didn't even allow me to explain my condition to him. He left the room within 10 minutes and didn't even allow me to ask any question. That 10 minutes that he was with me, he spoke more of wars and guns than about me. I would definitely not recommend this doctor to anyone. It will be a waste of your time and money!

They are rude! They make their patients wait too long. His staff is horrible not trained properly. His so called nurse! I don't know where she went to school. But she doesn't know anything. I asked her a question a she didn't have an answer for me. And I am nurse. I was recommened because I work for florida hospital.
