Dr. Judy Pollak Halpern, MD

I had her as a doctor from the time I was in grade school until I outgrew the practice. She is great when you are young mainly because she works with your parents. As I matured (even at the age of 18) she was not speaking to me about medical decisions-she was always going out of the room to ask my parents and then coming back and saying "your mom and i decided...." It was extremely unprofessional and if I understand the law correctly-illegal. She also seems to be short of patience. She does not take well to people trying to speak her language. She thinks she is the smartest in the room and no one could possibly be on her level. I've seen how she speaks to staff and I can't say I respected it. As I said, she is great when you're young but as you mature in the practice in your late teens she is not someone I would recommend. Dr. Bookner was always the best.

She is an excellent doctor. I would recommend her to anyone nearby who is looking for a competent, caring pediatrician for thei r child.
