Dr. Judy Kay Chiang, MD

Had a Telehealth appointment recently and spent more time giving them payment information to charge for the visit than addressing my concern. I saw the doctor for less than a minute in which she prescribed a $200 medication despite making it clear that cost is a concern. Very disappointed and am looking for other dermatologist options.

It is such a relief to be seen by a real dermatologist each time, not a PA or NP!

I went to Judy with some scarring concerns and she had prescribed a strong (and controversial) topical cream. I started experiencing some negative side effects and travelled a long distance to go back to her office to express my concerns and show her new scarring that appeared on my face. Instead of looking me in the eye and addressing my concerns, she was more concerned about her documentation so she would be "covered." I was extremely disappointed and offended that I had spent my time and effort to even consult Judy. On top of that, I spoke to an esthetician who highly recommended NOT using the topical cream that was prescribed because it is actually terrible for aging skin. I would not recommend this dermatologist.

I discovered a large skin growth in a hard-to-see area and wasn't sure what it was. It was also in an embarrassing location, and in uncomfortable circumstances I have sometimes struggled with being nervous, short-of-breath, blushy, shaky, etc. because my inclinations seem to be more on the anxious and shy side. That has made for some awkward, negative experiences. But Dr. Chiang was calm and sensitive to my situation, and that helped me feel at ease. She also had a positive attitude when answering concerns I had. The growth was treated several minutes later by kind staff and no follow up visits were scheduled; I was sent home with some topical medication and instructions. That was apparently enough, because the growth eventually fell off and (so far) hasn't returned. That was several years ago. Quick, inexpensive, and effective. I would recommend her. e

Highly unprofessional office. The paper bed cover had not been changed, I actually had to ask them to change it...then while I was lying face down, back side exposed, the clerical person from the front came in twice to get my credit card and have me sign the charge. All of this while I was waiting for the anesthesia to take effect. I will never ever return!

There was never nor will there ever be a follow up visit.. The worst bedside manner I have ever experienced...I usually do not do reviews but, in this case it was horrible..

Dr. Chiang has been my Dermatologist for two plus years. I have always worked in the sun and have a family history of skin cancers. Dr. Chiang and her staff have always treatment me with courtesy in a professional and punctual way, which I appreciate. I would recommend Dr. Chiang and will happily continue her advise and treatments.

I have a family history of skin cancer. I was so please that I finally found a doctor who does a thorough skin examination. She also spent time explaining to me the signs of skin cancer and prevention. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good skin doctor.

Dr. Chiang just seems concerned about money instead of patients. I have spent over $1,000 on treating acne scars. At first, she suggested micro-needling. I had several treatments and they made little difference in the scars. After the 4th treatment, she suggested that I have a Juvaderm treatment. She said this was better for treating the type of acne scars that I have. If that's the case, then she should have suggested Juvaderm first instead of having me go through the painful micro-needling. When I was in the office the last time for the Juvaderm treatment, I asked her if it would be possible for her to look at a spot that I had recently noticed and let me know if I should be concerned that about Melanoma. I had already paid $250 for the Juvaderm on that visit and I just got a bill for $74.00 because she spent 5 seconds looking at that spot. A doctor who really cared about her patients would be happy to just look at the spot without charging them...especially since I've spent… so much money the last several months with little results. Furthermore, her bedside manner is awful. She is condescending and abrasive and interrupts frequently. On almost every visit over the last several years, I've had to wait over 45 minutes before being seen by her. Look elsewhere for a caring doctor!
