Julia J Lovin, MD

Dr. Julia Lovin specializes in cardiovascular disease with a focus on treating heart conditions in children and young adults. She earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed both her residency and fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine, finishing her fellowship in 2024. With nine years of experience in medicine, Dr. Lovin brings dedicated expertise to complex cardiac care. She is fluent in English.

Dr. Lovin practices at multiple UVA Health locations throughout Virginia, including facilities in Charlottesville, Manassas, and Haymarket. She treats patients with congenital heart disease, helping families navigate heart conditions present from birth. Her expertise also includes managing heart valve disease and Eisenmenger syndrome, a rare condition affecting blood flow in the heart and lungs. Dr. Lovin performs specialized heart imaging tests such as dobutamine stress echocardiograms and doppler ultrasounds to evaluate heart function …and blood flow.
