As others have said, the most unprofessional mental health experience I have ever had. Unfortunately, I have learned that a lot of adult autism evaluation is scammy, and this office was my first clue of that.

Most unprofessional experience with a psychologist, and I've dealt with a few in the past. I pay on time, the very same day that we work together. She is not the best communicator. The worst part of this entire situation is I'm $780 in, plus $240 for therapy(separate from the report I asked for), and I have nothing to show for it ... And I sought her out for a assessment + report. I'm getting none of it, because she refuses to communicate. This is the type of stuff you get from her: "Just know I'm giving you free hour of feedback $120 and my assessment writing time has been discounted to under 100 dollars an hour" - What? You're already $260 over initial estimate, you're getting $1260. So because I won't give you $1500, I should feel like your work is now underpaid / under valued? Let's be fair here. Take some responsibility on the time you estimate. This is not the kind of exchange you want with a psychologist, believe me. You have to have trust when you work with a… psychologist, and I don't feel I can trust her anymore. Dr. Julia McHugh quoted me $1000 for a psychological assessment. Said there was additional testing that needed to be done, which I agreed and was ok on things exceeding an additional $260 ($1260 total) When we were at the very end of report writing, I asked how much more time was needed and she said 3-4 hours, I thought ok worst scenario $480($780 I already paid). At the very end of it all she came back to me with 5 hours + some review charge. This brings the total now to $1500 ($500 over initial estimate). She is really about her position mainly and doesn't really seem to care what you have to say. In my world you have to quote things as accurately as possible. $1500, that's 50% over initial estimate. The worst part is, she doesn't even attempt to understand my side. At the end of the day : $780 is what I paid, I have nothing to show for it, but wasted time and money. If you would add the $480(mind you I was ok to pay this), total would have been: $1260. She wanted an additional 2 hours to bring it to $1500, and I won't do it.
