A climber who doesn’t care about those she damaged or destroyed on her way up. I am a prominent Radiologist and Mammographers, first to validate transmission of digital mammograms over the internet while at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC, then put on the main committee with the top mammographers in the country to produce the best selling CME by the ACR. Programmed Computer Assisted Detection prior to AI. Met her after back pain and two operations in Florida. Played a round of golf the day before my 45 minute outpatient scheduled spinal cord stimulator with her. It took 3 1/2 hrs and she severely damaged my spinal cord at wrong level and caused spinal cord stenosis and then left 8 weeks later and never followed up or left me with anyone. I’ve been using a walker ever since. Good luck - I guess some will benefit from her procedures. Her academic position proceeds patient care in my experience.

There are many neurosurgeons and Pain docs out there. I would avoid her at all costs. She is more about furthering herself than you as the patient. You are a means to her end.

My worst mistake was letting her operate on me. A simple one hr spine stim placement took three hrs. Wondering if she ever looked at my charts and CT's , Op reports, plain plains or MRI's but got mired in a location that was pure scar tissue from prior fusions. If the stim has a chance of working, the pain from the area first worked on, as well as the compromised nerves has to resolve. Currently, after 2 1/2 months, the surgical pain far outweighs any benefits from the stimulators

She may be an excellent researcher and have a very lovely way talking to patients but when you’ve had multiple spine surgeries and her OP confuses the level of the spine and the operation is based on that and the prior (original) surgical report has a different fusion level, I was left with nerve damage in an area full of scar tissue. That area wasn’t avoided during the spine stimulation placement . The programmer was fortunate and my one day trial was ok, so the permanent computer/ battery was placed, the attaching subcutaneous leads were cross crossed. Not expected in a well known medical device

This dr. Left me in debilitating pain, and permanent disability. Do not recommend.
