Dr. Jyoti Kiran Math, MD

My experience with Dr. Math was deeply disappointing and distressing. During my appointment, she caused significant physical pain during the examination, making me cry out twice and prompting me to ask her to stop. She then denied feeling the painful lumps that are clearly documented in my medical records by multiple providers. Rather than listening to my concerns or acknowledging my confirmed diagnosis, she accused me of seeking pain medication when I was simply asking about possible treatment options. She offered no therapies, referrals, or guidance—despite my rare, progressive disease that requires multidisciplinary care. When I asked what could be done, she simply said there was nothing she could do, yet still advised me to return in 3–4 months. Given my condition, it was unreasonable that she did not offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, or palliative care referrals. The entire encounter left me feeling dismissed, disbelieved, and unsupported. Additionally, the office… environment was concerning. The exterior was neglected and overgrown, and the interior was furnished with old, mismatched pieces, creating an unprofessional and unhygienic atmosphere. In my opinion, Dr. Math’s practice prioritizes billing over patient care. I would not recommend her to anyone seeking compassionate or thorough medical evaluation.

Extremely knowledgeable about pain medicine and treatment modalities. Explains everything quite well as together you reach the best plan. Has a caring attitude and respect for her patients. Of which I’m quite proud to be one

Her staff is very rude!!! When people go to a pain Dr they are hurting and in need of help and compassion...but you won't get it here!!! I am submitting this review for my husband who was so upset with his visit...I am giving a 1 star only because I cannot give a 0!!!

What kind of doctor wants to aggressively wean pain medicine for a patient with breast cancer? She was aware that I would be getting double mastectomy, grueling chemo (which included Neulasta injections that are incredibly painful in the large bones where marrow is produced). Dr. Math didn't care when l begged her to hold off weaning. She actually said "I'm treating you for back pain, not cancer pain". Another incident happened about a year later. My appointment was with her brand new Nurse Practitioner. She informed me that Dr. Math decided to change my meds completely, and l was very upset & crying. Dr. Math was in the charting area at the time, ~10 feet away and she REFUSED to come into the exam room to discuss the change with me. I was astonished. I left the office sobbing & Dr. Math made me feel like a drug seeker she couldn't be bothered to deal with. I changed to another practice as soon as l could. No patient should ever be treated the way l was.

Excellent Procedure and Interpretation

Dr. Math was not very good at listening. When concerning the spine, it's important to understand where the pain is manifesting itself in the legs/arms, so the spine can be treated in the precise location. She kept interrupting me, and never really let me explain where my issues were. She also bad-mouthed another doctor that had done a spinal injection for me 4 years ago. This was completely unprofessional, and was the reason I went to another doctor.

Dr. Math is a No-Nonsense Pain Management Doctor...and Very Good at What she does. There are Strict Rules when a Patient goes into Pain Management Care...and these Doctors are closely watched under a Microscope. Don't Break the Rules, and she will be the Best Doctor you've ever Had. She has been Great with all my Surgical Procedures...which I've lost count of. And she has been Highly Professional to me over the last 5 years. If you are Only looking for Pain Pills...find a Drug Dealer. If you are looking for someone to Help Manage your Pain...see Dr. Math.

Just had an epidural steroid injection and Dr. Math and her staff did amazing! All staff was friendly, supportive,and professional. They told you exactly what they were going to do and when they were going to do it. The hospital and rooms were clean and steril. Procedure was over before I knew it.

No bedside manner. She immediately wanted to do epidural steroid injection that has left me in more pain than before after an MRI showed 3 herniated discs with foraminal stenosis and severe arthritis as well as sciatica nerve that is more severe. She does not listen to any complaints, never admits any fault of her own. She treated me as though i was faking my pain and treated me like i was a homeless drug seeking tweeker. She rushed through my Epidural steroid injection never allowing numbing medicine to take effect and she does not care. Never let this individual touch you or you will be dealing with what I'm dealing with, a new diagnosis which is a side effect of her rushing through the procedure. Please take her certification from her before she ruins someone else's life.
