I provide psychotherapy, and I am trained in trauma-focused treatments (TF-CBT).
I also have a history of working with patients with eating disorders, first episode psychosis, and with children and adolescents between the ages of 3–18 who have been victims of trauma/abuse.
What is your patient care philosophy?
I believe in promoting positive, personal well-being.
What would you like people to know about you as a provider?
As a provider, I value the client-therapist relationship. Having empathy is extremely important to me, as I want to ensure that my clients feel that I am working with them to help them get better.
What do you enjoy most about working with patients?
I enjoy helping them meet personal goals they have created or set for themselves.
How does your work improve lives?
Therapy provides people with support and validation while going through personal challenges.
What are some interesting facts about you?
I am bilingual in Spanish and English.
Would you like to share about your family?
My family is from Colombia. I grew up in a single-parent household. My husband is originally from Venezuela. We love animals — especially cats and dogs.
What positive childhood memory do you have about visiting the doctor?
I had the same pediatrician from birth up to 18 years old, so I felt understood and comfortable.
