Dr. Kamini Shyam Chari, MD

Very unprofessional and rude- she told me once that I could only tell her one problem per visit- so every time she can collect a $10 copay??? Then, when i tried asking for a referral for an endocrinologist, she kept denying me everything related to my diabetic care and I had to actually raise my voice at her (which is something I never do). Do not recommend AT ALL- am working on changing my primary care doctor

very knowledgeable ,and will patiently discuss all aspects of ones treatment options.

I have recommended her to many of my friends . I have some chronic medical issues and she tries to include other complimentary ,holistic treatment to maximally help me . I am so grateful to have her as my doctor.

My wife and I are patients of this doctor and we have been asking her in multiple occasions for an insulin prescription - which works well for my wife's diabetes - but Dr. Chari wants to have her on pills which don't work well for her.

i have been with her for over 8 years .She is very patient and discussed all my problems in detail . I highly recommend her .

Doctor looks out the window when she talks to you, not interested in what you have to say. She will cut you off when your trying to tell her about your symptoms. I was misdiagnosed and feel if she cared she would of really looked into the symptoms I was having. I will say that the office staff is very nice. When I complained to them about how disappointed I was in my office visit with Dr Chari they made excuses for her, that she was tired, working a lot. Wow really...anyway otherwise office staff was very nice..

I recently moved and had to choose a new dr. through Scan Health Plan. I randomly chose Dr. Chari.THe office is depressing and dark, with a tv blaring scare tactic medical info on diseases you could have! The wait was long, I filled out many papers asking me about my period and many other things that dont effect 59 yr old women. Almost all of the questions were yes and no and the YES part had been chopped off - WTF??? I have felt nuaetious & simultaneously had an eat infection for over a month, I told her my boyfriend and a few friends also had this- but she said: "probably your thyroid" and did no follow-up. She asked me many questions about my period. HOw the blank am I supposed to remember something that hasn't happened since the 1990's and what does it matter? I told her that my back and leg and foot has hurt, that I had a bad bunion operation and now my toe & foot as screwed up, and she said I cant send you to a podiatrist, not enough proof something is wrong. That I now have a… hammer big toe that is bending drastically to the side and messing up the bone and my gait is not proof? She sent me somewhere else for blood tests though I normally have my dr. do them in the office- her receptionist is also the nurse so actaully Im glad she didnt take my blood. I showed up at the lab and was told I was supposed to fast- oh, that would have been good info to relay to me Dr Chari! - I waited for about 45 minutes, was called up and told the tests would be about 600.00 if they were not covered and there was no way to know if they would be because DR CHAIR DIDNT PUT APPROPRIATE CODES IN THE BOXES TO HAVE THEM COVERED!!!!! I walked out, called Scan, asked for a new Dr.
