Dr. Kara Noelle Durand, MD

Excellent doctor. I’ll never go to anyone else.

Seems to be a good doctor to the men in my family only but is callous and dismissive towards the women. She is arrogant, rude, and uncaring. Avoid her as your doctor especially if you're a woman.

I absolutely do not recommend this woman as a primary care physician. If you have something as common and simple for her to resolve, like strep throat or birth control refill, then she'd be ok. I had more serious symptoms and concerns regarding my thyroid and she treated it like it was no big deal. All she did was order some labs (I had to have several) and called in a prescription. She didn't even bother to explain to me what the results meant and had some rude person from her office call me to stay where I could pick up the prescription. When I tried to get more information, I was told she was on vacation. I emailed her but was sent a response saying she wouldn't reply to any emails sent during her vacation. After her vacation, I sent her another email asking questions about the results to which she replied weeks later basically just telling me to take my meds. I'm now seeing a thyroid specialist I've had to pay for out of pocket. Turns out I have an autoimmune disorder… that is destroying my thyroid. I've subsequently changed medications and taking additional supplements to help with side effects and feel more at ease knowing what's actually going on with my health. Dr Durand was not kind or understanding, instead she sent me a condescending email, like it was a huge bother to her for me to schedule office visits. I got the sense she just went to medical school for the white coat and prestige of saying "I'm a doctor" on dating websites. On the plus side, she had fashionable eye ware and heels. In fact, I noticed her designer glasses after she adjusted them on her face several times and made a face 20-something kids do when you can tell they're in love with their self-story. She also had a glamorous photo on her ID badge. I meant to ask where she gets her roots touched up and her tan sprayed on...but I was a little forgetful, what with my real life health problems and all. If you're a dude who wants some Benny Hill doctor visit, this is the right place for you. If you have legitimate health issues, probably you should seek the care of a professional.
