Dr. Blitz was very rude, cold and rushed. She dismissed everything I said as not neurological and then told me I need three MRIs. Worst bedside manner I've ever experienced.

Dr. Blitz has been treating me for MS for 20 years. During this time I have found her to be very compassionate, understanding and thorough with information about medical options. I would highly recommend Dr. Blitz for your neurological care.

Found white matter in brain never told me what it was, found I had thick blood sent me to Hematologist who put me on blood thinners never found out what was causing my balance issues or white mater in my brain Polite knowledgeable good mannerism

I have been going to Dr. Blitz for about 15 years. I had visited 2 other Neurologist and was very unhappy with what they advised me to do. Both of them tried to get me started on one of the MS medications they had no affect on the type of MS that I was diagnosed with. Dr Blitz prescribed the 2 medications that would give me the relief from the MS symptoms that were affecting my quality of life. I have been able to talk with her and increase the dosage as my symptoms worsened. She has always been kind, and caring, from day one. When she moved from one location, to another, I followed her. I value her expertise, as a Neurologist, so much I would follow her anywhere.

When I was first diagnosed with MS, my neurologist was horrible. I then found Dr. Blitz in East Meadow and have since followed her everywhere! If you are looking for a doctor to be straight forward then she is for you. I'm not one who needs to be coddled. I want my doctor to tell me the facts. She has been amazing! I have just moved to FL and I'm so upset. I do not ever want to lose her. I was reading all of these bad reviews. These people are one off's or need to be coddled. She has been there for me even trying to help me find a new doctor in Florida. She is very up on her research. I have been symptom free since I found her and she started treating me. Best doctor you can ask for!

I went to Dr. Blitz for many years for MS. The first few years were fine....quick exam, but that's all that's usually require for ms if there are no problems. By the time she switched practices last year, she wasn't even doing the routine checks- balance, hand movement, etc. she didn't check my blood, although Avonex recommends it be checked on a regular basis. She moved practices without notifying me...I found out when I called for an appointment. I had to switch neutologist MS specialists since I couldn't go as far as she went, and it's the best thing that happened to me. I am now under the care of an MS specialist who is taking care of me. Her moving was the best thing that happened to me. And like one review said, she is rude and arrogant. I can't believe I put up with her for so many years!

I have been seeing Dr Blitz-Shabbir since my original diagnosis over 10 years ago. I have found her to be a caring knowledgeable physician always willing to listen to what I have to say. Her presentations about MS are so good that I have sat at tables where the other people sitting with me were envious that she was MY doctor. I feel that she is a major reason why my condition is no worse now than it was I was first diagnosed.
