Dr. Karen Olson Brainard, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Brainard‘s for sometime and she was great. Unfortunately since she sold her practice it has gone down hill. Have been trying to get a referral from her office to a heart specialist since beginning of Dec. to no avail can’t even get a person on the phone or a call back to my vm. So sad that such a once good office has vanished into no care or patient concern.

I had a wait to see Dr. Brainard, so in the meantime they were able to get me in to see her NP, Copeland, and I'm so glad it worked out this way. She really listened, was patient, smart, made suggestions that no other doctor has, and I left the visit feeling hopeful.

I love that Doctor Brainard really takes her time with me - even when I just go for an annual check up with no particular complaint. She takes time to ask me questions to help assess my overall health. She also has a repertoire of naturopathic recommendations to offer in combination with her Western Medicine recommendations, when appropriate, so I equate her to Dr. Weil. She recommended a procedure for me (Western Medicine ) that truly changed my life, but she also recommended supplements that helped me dramatically. For instance, she recommended I take an iodine supplement because my mammograms always came out fuzzy and required follow-up mammograms. After taking I-Thyroid for a year, my mammogram was read easily. First time ever!

A doctor who actually listens and does not try to prescribe prescription drugs. If you want to find the source of your condition and not poison your body all while receiving overall care - this is the doctor!!!! She has a wait for new patient's as she tried to accommodate her current patient volume but after you establish care with the practice you can see her much faster!

Dr. Brainard is thorough, smart, knows the latest available treatments, and takes the time to find the root cause of issues. Best doctor I've ever heard of..I'm blessed to be able to see her!!! I wish I could give her 10 stars!!

My husband, daughter and I all had Dr. Brainard as our PCP. One one visit for myself, with my husband in the room, she recommended Alpha Genomix testing to help her determine what medicines to prescribe for me (I have anxiety ). Not having heard of this testing before, we asked if it was covered by insurance. She left the room to ask someone, and came back and said yes, it was. We proceeded, and it was,not covered by insurance. We now have a $499 bill from Alpha Grnomix, and she won't help us with it. Her nurse Wendy told us that this happened to a couple of other people. How awful to not stand behind what you say- especially as a doctor. My anziety has never been worse,because if this.Stay far away from this place.

Dr Brainard has been my physician for many years. She is an excellent, compassionate doctor and I highly recommend her.

She is the best doctor I've ever seen! I am getting the best medical care of my life. She is a wonderful doctor. She is experiences, thorough, with great follow-up.

Dr. B. is a very caring Dr. even when we were not her patients, she went out of her way to see my husband in the ER while on week-end duty, when our old Dr. would not even call him. She did have some health and staff problems last year which has been resolved. We love her and her associates and recommend her to anyone, if there is a wait its because some have a need for extra time which she will take care of when needed, we have quite a lot of friends that have her as their Dr. now and they are quite happy with her also.

dr. always running behind 1-2 hours. late appt's frequently cancelled. always try to give you the nurse instead who charges the same as dr. takes 6-7 weeks to see Dr. and then a 90 min wait. New office is 95 degrees; cheap on the AC. waste of time at this office. will not be back or recommend.
