Dr. Karen Thomas Hacker, MD

Dr. Hacker has been my doctor since 2002. She is an awesome person as well as a doctor. She listens to you when you talk with her and she doesn't rush you out the door. She is very compassionate and her love for what she does shines through when she talks with you!!!! Can not find the words to express how awesome she is!!!!

Reading these reviews upsets me! Dr. Hacker is the most dedicated, thorough, kind and compassionate doctor! My only complaint is that she doesn't often advocate homeopathic methods but she is a young doctor still. Yes, it will take months to get in often times (7 months for my husband's first visit/physical). But the main reason I need her is to maintain my lupus and multiple specialists - the big picture - and explain to me everything that has happened with specialists and hospitals. For sick appointments the other doctors on staff are fantastic. My first appointment would have been over 6 months to wait but I explained I was in a lupus flare with no rheumatologist anymore and the front office lady set there for 20 minutes until she figured out a place to squeeze me in with a 2 month wait instead. Yes, you will wait a long time when you are there because she is going to give every patient the time they need, including you. However she is the most timely doctor to respond to messages… in the MyChart system. In fact, she was on vacation this last weekend and answered me on a SUNDAY for a nonurgent question. Yes access and wait are a problem but completely worth it. I'm thankful I have her in my corner! If you have routine health issues, you may want to consider one of her colleagues but if you have chronic issues and need a true, compassionate health advocate Dr. Hacker is the doctor for you!

The only thing I can say is GREAT GREAT GREAT! the most caring Doctor I know. I have been going to her for about 15 or more years.

Last year for my physical I waited over 1-1/2 hrs to be seen, then was rushed through appt. This year I could not get in to see her, even 2 months out. She is rushed & curt. Was visibly irritated when I had a list at one visit. Only seen her 3x in 3 yrs due to unavailability. Am looking for another primary care physician.

You are a distant memory after your first great initial check-up/visit. If you really get sick....you will never see her again and I mean never....Get use to the PA cause that is the only person you will see again.

finally my husband and I have found a great Doctor. She gives you time YOU need in her visits. NEVER rushes you. Has time to even listen to you cry if need be. Many problems arise when aging, and she is the Dr. One should have to help one thru. She will always send you on to specialist if called for. She can be trusted. Her kindness and compassion are truly gifts from God. thankyou Dr Hacker

My husband and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR KAREN HACKER to EVERYONE!!! If you are looking for a DR who truly CARES about her patients then you have found the RIGHT ONE!!! She is like your BEST FRIEND!!! She is very in tune with todays info. You never feel like just a number! If she thinks you need another DR she will send you to one that she highly re guards herself! You can TRUST what she tells you! I have other friends who go to her too and always refer to her as "Our Favorite Dr"!!! Please give her a try you will NOT be sorry you did !!!
