What a horrible human being. She brings her religious beliefs to the table. And if you not straight, PLEASE do not go here, you WILL NOT Feel safe. She blatantly asked me how I found her being that she is a strict conservative catholic. I'm catholic too and God would leave your practice. Treated me like I was not important

I really don't know where to start with this QUACK of a Dr! Just don't go! I'm confused as to why she is still allowed to practice and how her colleagues deal with her! I have NEVER in my life with this type of rude, disrespectful, underlying insulting Dr! Attitude sucks and comments made by her unwarranted just a NASTY, NASTY human!

Doesn't care about what the real issues might be. Very rude. Quick to put one on multiple medications instead of trying to identify the real problems. Talks down to patients. I was a patient for about 20 yrs before I changed. Lack of diagnosis almost shortened my life.

Dr. Mayer is extremely rude, insensitive, and frankly didn’t want to give me the time of day. I come from a military family, I’ve lived in 7 states and numerous towns. She is by far one of the worst doctors that I have encountered. Don’t waste your time at Garner Internal Medicine. Some doctors’ need to remember we pay them, not the other way around!

My visits are always informative. She schedules, in a timely manner, visits with doctors specializing with knowledge of my specific ailments.

I have been seeing this doctor for around 10 years and initially I really liked her. I thought she was very thorough and had a good bedside manner but the past few years, she has changed. She doesn't listen well anymore and is quick to make diagnoses without ordering the proper labs and/or despite lab/medical results that show otherwise. It appears to me that she conducts the visit based on her preconceived notions, which are often false, and doesn't listen to the patient. Advice is very basic and does not refer out when she should. While the wait time to get to an exam room is quick, the wait to actually see her has gotten much longer. And when you are just wearing a paper gown in a cold room, every minute counts. Office staff in general is friendly and knowledgeable. The office sends a copy of lab results within a few days.

I have seen Dr. Mayer several times----always rude and her comments are inappropriate. I tried to get past her rudeness but given her medical service was as bad as her attitude, I have moved to a new medical practice. She needs to take her own advice--get plenty of sleep. Apparently she doesn't because she kept repeating herself---and looked as though she needed a nap. As others have attested to in their reviews---she even yawned several times during my visit. I waited nearly an hour to see her ---and she spent less than 5 minutes with me regarding my pain issue---so glad I have moved on.

I love Dr. Mayer. I have been seeing her about 20 years and she is always willing to listen to my health complaints. She spends as much time with me as I need and her nurse, Shelley, calls me back promptly with answers to my questions. I'm lucky in regards to my health but I feel if there is ever a major problem, she will certainly help me through it.

Worst doctor I have ever been to. She doesn't care about you and how you are feeling. I tried to tell her I had IBS and she questioned me. She insisted that I needed to work less and sleep more. It was then confirmed by my stomach doctor that I had IBS. Then I went to see her because I felt like I had something more than a stomach virus. She did not care about the sharp pains I was having and told me I had a stomach virus even though it had been going on for 5 days. I went to my stomach doctor the next day and it was confirmed that I had a really bad bacterial infection that could have put me in the hospital if left untreated. If you aren't skinny, she looks at you like you shouldn't cook for your husband and you have to eat fruit and yogurt for dinner and get 8-10 hours of sleep at night. I have never met a doctor that made me feel worse about myself than her. I will never see her again!

Saw the doctor for over eight years. Care deteriorated.
