Dr. Karen Lee Stierman, MD

I was apprehensive about making an appointment after reading some of Dr. Stierman's reviews but her office is convenient and I take negative reviews with a grain of salt. I usually don't write them because I try not to be a complainer. But the negative reviews for Dr. Stierman's office are on target. Her front office is FUBAR. I called her office twice to make an appointment but both calls went to voicemail. She steers her patients to a scheduling app called Zocdoc so I created an account, logged in and made an appointment. I received an email from Zocdoc saying they had confirmed the appointment with Dr. Stierman's office. The morning of the appointment I received a text reminder of my appointment that had her address. I thought - this is a great app. But when I got to her office they had no record of my appointment and the receptionist was far from friendly. All the time I spent entering data was wasted. After awhile one of the managers told the receptionist to go ahead and put me… of the calendar. She asked if I made my appointment through Zocdoc and I replied yes. She told me the app never works. I thought - why would you continue to use an app that doesn't work? The answer came to me later - They don't respect their patients time and are clueless on how to run an office. About ten minutes later one of the medical assistants announced Dr. Stierman was running about an hour behind and asked if anyone would care to reschedule. I was standing at the reception counter filling out paperwork and replied yes. She started to rebook me when a lady cut in front of me asking about rescheduling her daughter's appointment. Rather than finishing with me, the medical assistant began taking addressing the woman and taking care of her issue. Perhaps the office is sexist. More likely they just don't understand common courtesy and manners. I decided this is definitely not the way I expect to be treated by a doctor so I left, never to return. I'm sure Dr. Stierman could care less. I'm also sure someone will write a canned response to this review telling us how much they care about their patients. I run an office and can tell you that the attitude of the front desk reflects the attitude of the professional whose office it is, and Dr. Stierman obviously has little respect for her patients or their time. She appears to be one of those doctors who cares about her bottom line and not her patient's health.

Great place to get treatment. Very informative doctor.

Awful!!! Avoid at all costs!

Doctor is friendly and knowledgeable, but does not spend much time with the patients. Most time is spent in the waiting room.
