Dr. Karen Weiss Walcott, MD

Dr. Walcott took the time to caringly listen to my problems. She suggested helpful, cost-effective treatments and alternatives. I never felt rushed, and she made me feel like I was her priority. All of my questions were answered, and she made sure I understood everything before my visit was over.

Dr. Walcott was aggressive and demeaning in her manner toward me. I was in obvious distress from my disability (PTSD) when she launched into an abusive tirade. I am still recovering from the shock. If you have an invisible disability, this is not place for respectful treatment.

went to another doctor at urging of DO. had a retinal tear and surgery was done the next day by local retinal professionals "to keep from losing vision." oops. BIG OOPS. can I give her negative 1 star?

Office called to schedule appointment and tests "because insurance will pay for it now," not that appointment was needed, even though it was. Performed test, failed to repeat because of artifact, so results were incomplete, but still charged full amount, and said come back in a year. Spoke to another professional who could not believe they did not repeat test. She was rude and arrogant and will not return. Would rather have seen her partner who performed the surgery but they will not allow you to see him, so keep that in mind if he does your surgery.
