Dr. Karin Galliano, PhD

Went to see Dr. Galliano for marriage counselling. Firstly she insisted on a barrage of expensive testing. Then she insisted on 3 separate sessions each for my then wife and I. I caught my wife having an affair, showed the evidence(motel bills and racy text messages) to Dr. Galliano and she said it may not look like it seems. When we got to the joint session with my ex wife and I present, I told Dr. Galliano that she was still seeing her lover. How could the marriage be saved while one spouse is cheating? I said that needs to stop. Dr. Galliano looked me squarely in the eye and said "she can see whoever she wants". This is the advice or a marriage counsellor? It's OK to cheat while while I'm supposedly trying to save your marriage? That was the last session. Dr. Galliano actually had the gall to say she thought the session went well. Really? My advice. Stay away if you want competent care.

Dr. Galliano pushed for testing and medication from the first visit on. I did the testing, however, I believe results were not valid. Why is she testing me for ADD when my attention is obviously off due the reason I was seeing her in the first place? I told her I didn't know how I could make it through the next 8 hrs, and she started talking about how I needed to go back to work. She said to me as I was checking out (on the third and last visit) in the waiting room in front of everybody, she wanted me on medication "so you will be easier to deal with" (her words). She also said if I ever attempted suicide, she was "done with me" ...isn't that when you need a therapist most? I am an RN with 30 years of experience,some in the psychiatric field. This woman has her own agenda, in my opinion.
