Dr. Karin Chen Li, MD

Avoid this office at all costs. If you or a family member are patients of Dr. Karin Li, please find a new doctor immediately. The lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic medical diligence my family experienced was devastating.My parents were under Dr. Li’s care, including my father, a cancer patient in remission. Over nearly three months, his cancer returned, presenting as a persistent cough. Despite repeated requests for further testing—such as a CT scan—and despite abnormalities on his chest X-ray and his cancer history, Dr. Li prescribed antibiotics month after month instead of investigating the cause. No escalation, no urgency, no follow-through.By month four, my parents sought care overseas. A CT scan was done immediately, revealing that the cancer had progressed to stage four, spreading aggressively. My father passed away two months later.When my mother informed Dr. Li of his passing and shared the CT results, Dr. Li responded not with condolences, empathy, or any… acknowledgment of her patient’s death. Instead, she abruptly terminated my mother’s care, offering only one month of “emergency care” and citing “limited hours” and “downsizing.” At a moment of profound grief, she left my mother without support or direction.Months later, I contacted Dr. Li seeking answers about my father’s treatment and her decision to drop my mother as a patient. After multiple emails, she replied with a cold, generic message claiming she could not share patient information without authorization—even though I wasn’t asking for medical details. When I called the office, the receptionist was dismissive and rude, stating Dr. Li “does not speak with patients over the phone.”There was no compassion, no accountability, and no genuine care at any point. Based on other reviews I’ve now seen, this appears to be a pattern: anyone who questions Dr. Li or challenges her judgment is quickly dismissed as a patient with no explanation or alternatives. For your wellbeing, avoid this office. The lack of empathy and professionalism my family experienced had life-altering consequences, and no one should have to endure what we did.

Dr. Li has been a savior for me and my family. I have finally found a doctor that not only listens but takes steps to accomplish my health goals. She makes sure to take the time to answer any question I may have and I always leave my appointments comfortable and happy with the care I received. Recommend changing your primary care doctor to Dr. Li and you will not be disappointed.

I highly reccomend Dr. Li and her team. Dr. Li, Angela (NP), and Jose have the best dedside care ever. They are really attentive and care about your health and needs. They are accomodating to same day appointments to make sure urgent health needs are met. Dr. Li and Angela are very good with their assessments and have treated my health care needs. If they are not able to help specifically, they quickly referral your needs to the right direction to the specialty care you may need. Both Dr. Li and Angela take time at your appointments and they treat you like family and do not rush through your session. I wish them good health so they can continue to treat me and keep me as healthy as can be!

Dr. Li is very caring and listens to all your health issues carefully. She has your tests results promptly and explains them to you clearly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Karin Li for almost 5 yrs. I am almost 70 and have numerous health issues that have needed to be addressed over this time. Dr. Li has taken the time to address every problem, get me on the right medication or to the specialist I needed to see. I have had nothing but excellent care from Dr. Li and her staff. I especially want to say that Henri (in the front office) is simply wonderful and has gone out of his way to take care of issues that come up and I have never had a complaint about anyone of the staff.
