Dr Katherine Farias, MD

Bedside manner is one of the most important things to me. I want to feel respected, listened to, and treated with a kind, caring demeanor. Dr. Katherine Farias exhibits all of these qualities and characteristics and more! I know she is busy, and yes, there are sometimes long waits at a doctor's office, but that's life and if I was the one needing her immediate attention, I'd know she'd spend that with me instead of rushing off to the next patient just to keep a schedule. For the past 9 years, she's given me a quality experience. She spends time and listens. She is very calm and thorough. She explains procedures and details clearly and cares about ME as a person. Her assistant, Kami, is great, too! She is friendly, always cheerful and bubbly with great energy. She promptly returns my phone calls and makes me feel valued as well. I highly recommend Dr. Farias and this practice. I transferred from another practice because of not feeling cared for and I'm so glad I did!

To start off with it was a long, nearly 40 minute wait in the exam room and I was anxious and stressed over an issue I wanted to speak to the doctor about. When Dr. Farias came in and started asking me about the nature of my visit. She had two people with her. I was taken off guard and flustered and told her I didn't expect anyone else and she told me that they were there to take notes for her. Dr. Farias was very nice, but I think it would be considerate to notify a patient in advance that there would be other people in the room. I'm going to go back to Ironwood OBGYN.

Dr. Katherine Farias has been my gynecologist for the past five and 1/2 years and is the best one I have ever had. She is compassionate, kind, and gentle during the exams. Dr. Farias is a good listener and I don’t feel rushed whenever I go in for an appointment. She takes the time to listen to my concerns and answers my questions. Whenever I call with a question, her nurse gets back to me with an answer the same day. She recently performed a robotic hysterectomy on me. I had no complications post surgery and I believe this is due to the fact that Dr. Farias is highly skilled and excellent surgeon. I would recommend her to any woman or teen who is would like to have such a dedicated physician.

Dr. Farias is wonderful, her wait times are horrendous.

I am 23 now and Dr. Farias was the first gyno I ever went to. I was nervous but her and her assistant, Kami I think her name is, always made me feel so comfortable. They answered all my questions and made me feel like I was in secure hands. Unfortunately my insurance changed this year and she was not a provider. My new gyno is nowhere near as great as Dr. Farias and her staff, even if she has more experience in the business. With Farias, I have never felt rushed and I feel like I am talking to a doctor and assistant who genuinely care not ones who are giving me rehearsed answers. Because of Dr. Farias, I will be changing my insurance to one that has her as a provider. I would definitely recommend her.

My family and I love Dr Farias. She is kind, has excellent bedside manner and spends time to answer all of our questions. She does run behind sometimes, but we never feel rushed with her.
