Katherine Helen Hansen, MD

Dr. Katherine Hansen specializes in cardiovascular disease and pediatrics, bringing a decade of experience to her practice caring for young patients with heart conditions. She earned her medical degree from the University of California - San Diego and completed her residency at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in 2019. Dr. Hansen pursued additional specialized training through fellowships at both Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in 2022 and Boston Children's Hospital in exercise cardiology in 2023. She provides care in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Hansen practices at Children's Medical Center locations in Dallas and Plano, Texas. Her expertise focuses on treating congenital heart disease and atrial septal defects in children. She also manages cardiac rhythm problems in young patients. Dr. Hansen performs specialized heart testing procedures including stress tests using ultrasound and medication-based stress testing to evaluate heart function.
