Dr. Kathleen S Banks, MD

For two years my daughter was preparing her jaw for surgery. She has been wearing braces since she was 17 (having to wear them during her senior year and first year of college) in hopes of having Dr. Banks perform oral surgery on her jaw. Everything was moving along and we were called to schedule surgery when out of nowhere, no explanation, they told us they would no longer perform the surgery and that we should look for another oral surgeon. My daughter’s heart is broken, as you can only imagine. We were willing to pay in full for the surgery yet for some reason they canceled on us. Only thing I can think of is that something fraudulent is taking place at Dr. Banks office. I did ask for a receipt of the surgery. It seemed as if they didn’t want to give me proof of the surgery for some peculiar reason. So now I have to search for a new doctor, no thanks to Dr. Banks and her staff. Speaking of her staff…they are the most discourteous employees I have ever had to deal with. … Danielle, especially, is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my lifetime and that is saying a lot. After reading some reviews for this office I’m not even sure how Danielle has kept her job as long as she has with all the atrocious reviews. She was abrupt and actually hung up the phone on me when I was trying to get an explanation as to why they were canceling. I was also told by Danielle that I should have been there for a meeting that my 19 year old daughter and ex-wife would be attending. Does Danielle really need an explanation as to why I wasn’t at the meeting? This was none of her business. I asked to speak with Dr. Banks, and again, was told they won’t discuss the matter any further. I’m still shaking my head at the unprofessionalism of this entire office.

I’ve seen Dr. Banks since I was a child, and she has helped me so much with my anxiety depression, OCD and the like. She takes her profession seriously and provides great recommendations and advice. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a exceptional psychiatrist.
