Unpleasant staff and unpleasant doctor

I have seen Dr. Kathleen Stokes a few times over several years. Each visit has been highly professional. She is always kind, patient, and is very knowledgeable. She thoroughly explains my diagnoses, provides written materials if needed, and is gentle when performing any procedures. She is bright and makes me feel comfortable to ask any questions. Not on this survey but in other surveys, I have seen a question or two regarding wait times. In my opinion, "wait times" is a very unfair question when it comes to health care providers because their responsibilities and duties are of such significance. Dr. Stokes gives you her undivided attention! In general, physicians have extremely varied days and are continually being interrupted with emergencies, urgent phone calls, and no two patients ever take the same amount of time. Many patients come in with various deficits taking more time and patience from staff. Therefore, anyone commenting on longer wait times at some of their… doctors' offices are not seeming to be empathetic to others in general. Some patients simply require and need more time than others. Of course, this carries over through the entire day just as some customers in other careers change the course of one's day. However, with health care providers, people need to be much more understanding. You certainly would not prefer a physician hurried when he/she enters your room and/or is caring for your loved one! A great health care provider is worth any wait. When I go to see any physician, I expect to wait as like when I go to any other unrelated appointment. If you get somewhere, plan ahead and make proper arrangements. Common sense!!

Dr Stoke fit me in to her very busy schedule. Her diagnosis was right on and she gave an approximate end date. She deserves her compassionate Dr rating.

Dr. Stokes is very dedicated to the well being of her patients. Always kind, caring, and does not rush you.

Dr Stokes is very straight forward and to the point. She knows her stuff. She handled my case in way that instilled confindence that I was in good hands. When it mattered her staff made sure I got my appointments right away.

Dr Stokes is very good at what she does, but will blacklist you if you are late or miss appointments. I work full time, go to college 3/4 time, and have three kids, two with disabilities. Today I went to see her for an ongoing issue I've been having, only to find out that what my calendar and their records showed were a day off (appointment was yesterday). Because I had been late before (go figure...not that I'm busy or anything)she left a note in my file that I could not be accepted for any more appointments. That's ok Dr, there are other more reasonable dermatologists in the area!

Dr. Stokes is extremely knowledgeable, personable and genuinely caring. She combines the best of what we are all looking for in a physician. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I have seen her both for cosmetic procedures and for treatment of other skin issues.
