Dr. Kathryn Anne Heim, MD

In to follow-up on a visit I had made with one of her colleagues in another office since my hand injury was still bothering me. She was much closer to my home. She had the bedside manner of a truck and gave me the feeling that I was wasting her time. Also, I was her first appointment but she didn't see me first after a very long wait.

I immediately felt confident with Dr. Heim. She answers questions the way I want my doctors to answer them. If she doesn't know the answer, not only will she make that clear, she'll find out what the answer is - and actually follow up on it. I find that to be totally professional and nearly the opposite of what I see an many surgeons' websites. How can nearly *all* of them be "renowned"? I've done a few decades of "surgery" on mouths, myself, and have been saddened to learn that professionalism is not as common as I had expected. It's wonderful to find another exception to that trend. BTW, the surgery option that we decided together on worked as planned, too. :-)

Dr. Heim has a stellar reputation and her resume is most impressive. Luckily for me, she works with Holy Cross HealthComplex, which is one of the best in South Florida. Her staff welcomed me and were very professional. She explained my condition thoroughly and said that I had a giant cell soft tissue tumor that needed to be removed. Dr. Heim removed it on Oct. 17th at the Holy Cross Healthplex, for outpatients. The surgery went very well, with no discomfort on recovery. Very happy with Dr. Heim! She answered all my questions and was most kind, and provided terrific care. She deserves my 5 star recommendation. If you need a quality Hand Surgeon, make an appt. You will be very glad you did.

First time seeing her. No handshake, no "nice to meet you" or anything. Seemed to be knowledgeable on the problems going on with me.

Dr Heim was courteous, prompt, and took really good care of me. She valued my time and explained all of my options in a way I could understand. The procedure went great and I just finished my follow up with her and I'm highly satisfied. I would highly recommend her.

Go somewhere else. She has no bedside manner, is abrupt, and condescending. Half hour late for her first appt (me) .Walks in to meet me for the first time , no 'good morning' no knowledge as to why I was there and it was all downhill from there. BTW she is replacing Dr. Jackson who I hope gets well soon. If she is there for my next visit I will cancel and find a new doctor who enjoy's their work. Sorry Katy dear. I know that the office had 34 visits now 17 in the a.m. Hmm wonder why?

Had a simple broken bone in the hand, was charged for surgery but not type of surgery was performed. Spoke to billing person, she said we under no surgery was performed but that's the only code she could put that under. Cost me out of pocket because of this Rip off, don't see this dr
