Dr. Kathryn L Warren, PsyD

My experience of Kathryn Warren is that she is dishonest, and lacks boundaries, ethics, and professionalism which resulted in significant damage to my family. Despite claiming experience in high conflict divorces, she failed to remain neutral and instead aligned herself with my husband's ex wife. She chose to believe the narrative she liked and then refused to allow my husband or me the opportunity to corroborate our side of the story. This resulted in Kathryn enabling and perpetuating abuse of my stepsons, my husband, and myself in the form of false CPS allegations. She eventually cut off contact with us but continued treating the children, despite shared legal custody. It seems that her employers eventually recognized her concerning conduct and terminated her services with our family. Since she has been removed from the picture and the children's mother's abuse has been substantiated by CPS and her parenting time supervised, the children have shown tremendous improvement (without… therapy). My oldest stepson has since transitioned out of an emotional impairment program into general education. I am skeptical that Kathryn possesses the humility and insight to recognize her ignorance and lack of ethics in this case. Unless she takes meaningful steps to improve her understanding of parental alienation and compensate for her inherent biases, I fear she will continue to damage children and fathers in high conflict divorce cases.

Works in Grand Rapids area. I wish there had been reviews before I established care with Katie Warren. I did not have a good experience with this counselor. I found her to be an unfortunate combination of inexperienced yet arrogant. Would look elsewhere.

I would not recommend this counselor. I found her to be incompetent and unethical.
