Dr. Kathy Shaobing Tan, MD

She was the most inexperienced, the least knowledgeable, the rudest, and the most ill-mannered of doctors i ever seen. The attitude of the staff was so bad that they didn't know anything about asking questions. To see a doctor, at least wait at least three hours for the fastest.

I came in for a 9:15 appt at 9am. No staff was in yet; there were about 7 people waiting outside. The receptionists started strolling in at 9:05am. I was the 3rd person to sign in and about the 7th person to be called to register even. I waited 25 minutes to even be called to register. When I asked if the dr. was in they said, "No." When asked if this was normal, they nonchalantly said, "yes." I asked if they knew when she was coming. They did not. They said she usually comes around 9:15, 9:30 (sometimes even later). Mind you, I was supposed to be the 2nd patient. I asked about the wait and she said that there were 7 people that had to be registered (mind you I was the 3rd person to sign in). I asked if they could call me when she got in. They said if it gets too busy they'll forget to call. They said I can't take it out on the staff because it's not their fault she is not there. Guess they are all used to her being late. They asked what I needed and I said that I needed a referral.… They said I don't need it for that (which they are not right about).

kathy tan is one of the rudest doctor I have ever met. I am 5'2" weighs 115lbs and she calls me overweight. She doesn't let me finish telling my problems. She jumps into conclusions about my situation. I have knee problems, I already know that the problem is caused by muscle weakness, she told me to basically sit as much as possible and rest, however she also says I have to lose weight to put less stress on my knees. That in itself is a contradiction. She is rough with patients. She can care less. Skip her and find someone better.

After outgrowing my pediatrician, I have been seeking the right doctor for my primary care. Three years, and six doctors later, I come across Dr. Kathy Tan. She is easily the WORST out of all the doctors I have had in my lifetime. (My chronic condition requires me to visit doctors regularly, so I have much experience) She is rude, dismissive, inconsiderate, unknowledgeable, impatient and just does not care for her patients. She also clearly missed out on learning some bedside manner! During my visit, I began to realize Dr. Tan is someone who pursued a career as a doctor for the dollar signs and status, NOT because she truly cares about human beings.
