Katie Beamer

Katie Beamer, LPC, or Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, practicing since 2016. She has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Human Resource Management, a Master of Arts is Forensic Psychology, and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Katie has worked in numerous mental health backgrounds over the last ten years and her passion lies in helping people find their strengths to overcome trauma and life’s various hardships. Katie believes there are many different approaches to working through challenges and the best fit varies greatly with each person. Katie often uses the Person-Centered approach, first and foremost , which lies in the belief that “each of us has the power to find the best solutions for ourselves and the ability make appropriate changes in our lives. ” We are all human after all and who knows you better than you! Secondly, Katie work from pulling in mindfulness and somatic techniques, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral …Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in her treatment approach. She believe each person is truly uniques and must be treated with high levels of respect and understanding no matter what. Katie will tailor your conversations and treatment to meet your individual, holistic needs to the best of her ability. In her spare time, Katie loves to dance, sing, do yoga, read, bake, watch her shows (repeatedly), spend time alone (total introvert here), camp, ride dirt bikes, enjoy the outdoors, and cook. I can’t deny I’m a total foodie; feel free to bring snacks for our meetings. Katie’s favorite way to spend time and wind down is with her better half, friends, family, and fur baby Toki, her soul doggo!
