Dr. Katrina Lynn Higgins, PhD

I went in to therapy with Katrina because I was a class A wreck. I had no motivation, hated myself and was so socially self-exiled that I could pass for someone with ASD. I know I'm not autistic, but it was so hard for me to even socialize that, at times, I convinced myself that I had that "disorder". After many sessions of deep, personal discussion (of which some I admittedly embellished or lied about), Katrina maintained a strict, professional courtesy and confidentiality that made me comfortable enough to share my feelings, false or not. I remember being the mess that I was going to Katrina. Then, I reflect on what I have become. From a high anxiety N.E.E.T. that might have amounted to nothing, I have used the lessons Katrina has taught me and the power she helped me find within myself to shape my life in a much more positive way. From self-loathing and the oblivion of an immature suicide attempt, I now have constructed a life that involves a full time job; a girlfriend; an ability… to drive to and from work (even on the freeway!); and the confidence to go out on weekends with friends from work. I love my life now, and Katrina had a big part in helping me build it. -JCW

Dr Higgins is an incredible Dr that takes her time to really understand her clients. She doesn't allow excuses and helps bridge the gap to solutions.
