Dr. Kavita Kalidas, MD

Awful. Good in office experience. Follow up has been impossible and the office is no longer responding to my messages and requests through the portal, withholding my medication. This I will be filing a complaint with the state medical board.

I have never found Dr Kalidas to be rude or condescending. She has always been nothing but professional and has gone to extreme lengths to help me with a chronic debilitating condition. She knows and remembers everything about me from my condition to my families names and how I am adapting to external everyday stresses and triggers. Yes it takes a long time to get an appointment. Has anyone considered that it's because she has an overwhelming number of patients? She has been my savior for the past 7 years plus. I would not be a functioning member of society with her knowledge and compassion.

Calm and compassionate

I find Dr. Kalidas to be professional and accurate. She challenges you and does not just sit and listen and accept what you want or expect. She allows me to be a part of my treatment and care. I have read some of the past posts and these seem to be from people who what their doctors to not be their doctor but simply listen to them complain and accept what they say/want. Dr. Kalidas knows her field and is proactive. She spends almost a solid 45 minutes with me at each visit and will type in everything I tell her has been happening to me over the past 3-4 months since my last visit. When I have a question or concern I simply send her an email and she responds to me no matter how minor the question is (Can I take Zyrtec D for my allergies or will it be too risky for my aneurysm? boom, an answer that day). She hears what I am saying and will offer different options and lets me take an active part in my treatment. I relocated to Tampa from NY where I was treated at NY Presbyterian… Columbia and when I came here I "interviewed" three neurologists. Dr. Kalidis was outstanding among her peers. I do not need a best friend, I need a great neurologist.

Dr Kalidas was very knowledgable about my condition. was thorough, answered all my questions. Offered options my previous neurologist did not.
