Dr. Keith Donald Wilkey, MD

Due to increasing back pain in 2018 , i had to stop riding my bike. Dr. Keith Wilkey operated on my back in 2019. The surgery went well. Dr. Wilkey and his staff were very helpful in answering my questions after the surgery. He followed up regularly to review my recovery progress. No I am able to ride my bicycle 40 or more miles, which was on of my major goals from this surgery. Thank you so much Dr. Wilkey

My husband has seen him for his back. His office scheduled his follow up on a Wednesday. Turns out the doctor is NEVER there on Wednesday so he drove an hour away for nothing! Not impressed with the doc or his office. Return calls with test results took weeks and not until after I called complaining he hadn’t heard back. Always told it was someone elses job. What a joke!!!

I broke my neck in 1978 and over the years have suffered from degeneration and resulting shoulder issues. Dr. Wilkey seemed to assume I was seeking opioids, rather than medical care from the beginning of the office visit. I tried to explain that I could not take opioids due to chronic migraines triggered by opioids. This was also in my medical records that I'd refused opioids on numerous occasions. This seemed to have no impact on Dr. Wilkey's assumption and he dismissed me rudely from his office. I have since undergone three years of chiropractic care to some relief in an attempt to deal with my issues, but recently returned to neuro spine surgeons (two opinions), both could not believe I hadn't stabilized my neck years ago. I am currently scheduled to undergo a spinal fusion of the C4-5-6. Thank you Dr. Wilkey for making me suffer in debilitating pain for unnecessary years and developing a mistrust in medical professionals (something you are not).

First visit was quite fast. Admitted to hospital after a short office visit. Followed by an emergency surgery. Some complications followed. When I returned to his office post surgery. I expressed my disappointment in his behavior. He accepted my critique and apologized. I am 100% better and very thankful. I glad I met him. He’s a great surgeon. Sometimes we all need some mothering. Stop complaining be thankful and forgiving

Judged me as a med seeker before I entered his office, then failed to examine me diagnosing me as "just live with it", for a dominant shoulder issue that a PA at a private orthopedic's office diagnosed in 30 seconds, then successfully treated with a 30 minute in-office procedure. The issue had been ongoing for 2 1/2 years and pain meds had never been requested or issued for it. Then he lied on the patient notes, after I filed a formal complaint with the VA against him.

I visited him for what I thought was a torn rotator cuff (according to the radiologist review of my MRI). I was sent to him because I also have neck issues and the hospital was unsure if I didn't have multiple issues. Either way I thought I was seeing a Doctor and a Professional. He was very unprofessional and seemed put off that in his view, I wasn't a candidate for surgery. To which I replied "good, I don't really want another surgery anyway". His words "I'm a surgeon, so if you refuse surgery then what are you here for". I did not refuse, I said I really don't want another surgery. But, he said "I'm not offering surgery anyway". So what is it? Am I a refusal or wasn't surgery offered? He dismissed me with "are we done here yet?" I wouldn't accept aspirin from this so called doctor!

This doctor told me I didn't need surgery on my back. I couldn't hardly walk because of my back pain and leg pain. Went to a neurosurgeon and was scheduled for emergency surgery. I had two herniated discs in lower back and one bulging and needed some nerve reconstruction surgery. I'm doing great now no thanks to Dr. Wilkey.

Very intuitive,makes you feel like he really cares about you, and wants to hear your concerns and problems your having; unlike most docs you go to these days that talk at you, and they don't really care about you at all. He wants to hear from you and make you better if possible.

Do not use this Dr. This is your life we are talking about here. This man should not be a Dr. He is rude. Forgetful. Downright mean. Do not trust this man with your life. Do some googling before using him. Ran out of Ohio by his old practice.
