Dr. Kelly Jane Bain, MD

I have seen numerous doctors in my 58 years after surviving a serious auto accident in my teenage years. You run across band-aide doctors and then every great once in a while if you’re luck, you find a doctor who knows her stuff. Jelly came across as one who is on top of her game but then I only got one visit with her before she dropped me as a patient. I wasn’t just dropped from her patient list but from the office. When trying to find another insurance approved doctor I am pretty much unwelcome at Mercy doctors. Why, because my volunteered urine drug test did not reach the acceptable temperature. In other words my pee was to cold and unacceptable. So immediately there was doubt with my word and integrity which didn’t sit well with me. My word is truthful and I do not understand how my true urine could be unacceptable. I was informed it must be retaken but this time supervised. Well being a recovering drug addict, 21 years clean, I was highly offended. Then my retake was missed… due to a previous commitment. Within days a signature requested return receipt letter was delivered by USPS informing me to find another doctor and practice. Unbelievable I thought and then I got to trying to find a reason for my cold urine. There isn’t a good reason and usually indicates tampering if the test was read within 4 minutes and the equipment was shipped and stored within desired temperatures. I cannot confirm these temperatures on the equipment but I will stand on my word that the test was not tampered with and was my urine straight from my body at test time. Once again, no one seen the mature/old woman standing in front of them. They seen the Drug Addict of 21 years ago. I am now searching for a doctor who can see past a mistake 21 years old.

After having a doctor for 10 years who really did not care about my health it was refreshing to have someone who was actually took the time and did tests that had needed done. I am so grateful I switched doctors as she found I had cancer in early stages because she examined me and just did not sit in a chair and talk.

I saw this doctor over 7 years ago and still cringe when I think about my experience with her. She attempted to do an HSG test on me and ran into trouble because I had a stenotic cervix (later diagnosed by a COMPETENT doctor not her) - she made me feel like a FREAK and I left in tears. DO NOT SEE this cold woman. By the way my problem was treated and I went on to have two children, no thanks to her.
