Dr Kelly Weselman

I had to wait 3 months for my appt. & be approved because she doesn’t take new patients without it. She spoke with me less than 10 mins., did a minor physical evaluation, which was looking at my toes and fingers, range of motion with my neck and listened to my breathing. That was it. She also looked at my MRI from 3yrs prior and said I did not have Ankylosing Spondylitis or psoriatic arthritis just by that brief interaction. See, my previous Rheumatologist had diagnosed me with those issues and had treated me for years. I had to change due to insurance. I had told Weselman I was in pain and was a chronic pain patient elsewhere. Had told her of my stiffness, painful spine, hips and SI joints, I couldn’t even wipe my own butt on the toilet. I told her anti-inflammatory medicine had helped me before. She didn’t even offer an anti-inflammatory RX and said if I lost weight (on 4 different occasions in that 10 mins) and received PT from my other clinic then that would help. No bloodwork to… test for inflammation was done either. I was advised that I didn’t need to come back to her. She’d do X-rays but that’s it. I have never been to a doctor so uncaring and dismissive ever and I have seen several doctors in my life. No bedside manner. The next day I received word from her asst. about my X-rays. She never explained them in detail and continued with dismissal via her asst. This rheumatologist needs to retire, she has no need to continue NOT helping people with rheumatological issues and pain. Yes, rheumatologist’ help people in pain. Do yourself a favor and choose a different rheumatologist.

Dr. Wesselman and staff are concerned, dedicated professionals that listen to you . I've been her patient for 4 years or so and she has made my life better. I would rate her as the highest.

Dr Weselman is a very caring Dr and is genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of her patients. On my first visit 2 years ago, she spent almost an hour in the room with me getting familiar with my illness and trying to get me on the right path to wellness. I absolutely love having her as my Dr of Rheumatology.

Dr. And staff excellent. They go above and beyond any other Dr or office I have ever seen.

How this woman is allowed to practice any further is beyond me. She's evasive with her diagnosis, one visit you have the illness the next you don't or she's not sure. She is without a doubt the worse rheumatologist I have ever encountered. Under no circumstances would I EVER recommend her for rheumatology. Plus she is part of Wellstar which in itself is one of the worst health care systems I've been to.

Dr Weselman, Frankie her nurse practioner, Judy, her nurse and Mitzi the office coordinater are all top notch, excellent medical providers. They truly care about the patients and I highly recommend their pactice!!!Nash

I was referred to this Doctor by my Primary and Ortho doctor. They faxed over all of the info that she required for me to get an appointment. They got back to me in 1 week and advised that they saw no reason for me to see them. I explained that I have had problems for years with all over body/joint pain. I have disc disease, athritis, chronic fatigue among tons of other things. I explained my Doctors wanted further testing done such as fibromyalga, lupus, etc. They turned me down and told me they don't treat fibromyalga. Today I found out that I have Lupus. I could have known this months ago but was refused as a patient. Now I have to be referred all over again. It's just really sad that they didn't even trust my primary and ortho doctor enough to try and figure out what was wrong with me.

Dr. Weselman was my mom's doctor for years. My mom grew very fond of her and her asst. Frankie as well as the otehr staff and began to look at them as family instead of caregivers. I trusted Dr. Weselman and her opinions more than any other primary or specialist that my mother had for the 10 years that my mom went to her. Awesome bedside manor, very caring, and always truthful. You cannnot ask for a better doctor/friend!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Weselman for about 7 years. She has helped me manage my lupus and kept me as active as possible in a professional, caring and friendly manner. I recommend her to my friends who need a rheumatologist. She does stay booked quite heavily (as do all rheumatologists), but will work me in with either her or the PA if I am havng trouble. My son also sees her for his lupus, and so has my sister.

THE DOCTOR IS ARROGANT, UNCARING AND INSENSITIVE.
