Dr. Kelvin Bertram Burton, MD

Waited on my script to be called in, they were taking too long so i called Dr. Burtons office and the nurse fussed me out saying i didn’t give him enough time. I waited and waited and my prescription was never called in. My pharmacy closed. So now I am without medicine until tomorrow, when I can call the office again. UNPROFESSIONAL. Finding a new doctor ASAP.

Terrible human been, I dont know how people like him can get a license to practice, I desputed over charges to my insurance and he didnt like that, after the complain he decided to stop seen me, he loves money, if you don't pay what he wants he will stop seen you and cut off all medications, even when he knew all my very sensitive health condition he left me with no doctor and no medications. He really hurt me. Don't see this Kevin Burton he will hurt you if you don't like what he charges to the insurance and out of pocket. Horrible experience

According to the insurance companies he overcharges, he takes advantage of you and always you end paying money out of pocket vesides your co-pay. The staff is the worst rude, unhuman, and out of touch not from this earth. You pay for a full consultation of 30 minutes for only 5 minutes to get your prescriptions. They all are African American and I guess is the culture of Dr Kelvin Burton why the staff treats you like trash. I know the lawyer that handles his legal problems and is not pretty. My next stop is to report his unethical behavior, sheeter to WellstR Board.. dont get near to this people their is no oath. They care how to take the insurance and your money. Try you will see 4 to 5 minutes and they charge a full consultation. By the way you hardly see Dr Burton only nurses that have no good medical bacground.

There is a skinny, older lady who schedules your appointments as you’re going out who is the most rude, vile person I’ve ever met. In no way should she be working in any form of customer interaction. Tries to make you feel 2 feet tall when you ask simple questions. Dr Burton needs to fire her. Miserable human being.

After five calls to speak about a referral to see Dr. Burton I was amazed at how unfriendly, unprofessional and unwilling the staff were to answer the phones with a caring attitude. The receptionist does not want to give her name out. She lays the phone down or hands it to another person when she does not have a clue which is often. Finally I person after the fifth call who says her name and proceeds to tell me there is a $150.00 fee to pay for the doctor to looks over the medical records and decide if he will take the patient. I knew about the fee because they tell you that but until the fifth call no one had the knowledge of what to call it. This fee is not returnable if the doctor decides not to take you as a patient.Oh by the way the $150.00 fee is only payable with cash or a credit card, they do not take debit cards nor checks. Our referral doctor spoke to Dr. Burton on his personal cell phone while we were in our doctors office. We heard the entire conversation He said he would… take our patient. However the staff says, that decision will not be made until Dr. Burton reviews the records. Which we had to get faxed to their offices. Honestly I'm freaking out here we are on a time crunch, I'm speaking to hateful arrogant people and I'm feeling the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I drove to Dr. Burton's office and well it was out of sorts to me just something does not feel right here. Then I read all these reviews and well its no better feeling. Will I make an appointment here or not? I don't know where I live there are not many choices. I'm pondering this I pray Dr. Burton does not know the manner in which his staff run his office and if not that he finds out and cleans them up. They wrote the book on rude crude behavior, I've never encountered such ignorance in any medical field I have encountered. Many people are on Social Security or Disability and that fee is not easy to come by with will he or will he not accept me as a patient. The front office staff seems to be discouraging patients to come to see Dr. Burton I cannot fault a doctor I have not met but his staff is yet to be determined.

Want to do one star but because of Dr.Burton himself I decided to do 2.I have been going to see Dr. burton for the past five years or more and for the most part I was treated with respect but for the past two-three times I've had the displeasure of getting other nurses/doctors. Here is the story: I lived in the area about 30 minutes away so I had been going to him for years but for the past 2-3 years I moved to Buford Georgia, I still decided to keep Dr. burton because he's the best, I drove an hour and a half- two hours just to be able to go see him again for my refills. This past time is truly the only reason that has me writing this review. I got Dr. Jossett and her nurse. I scheduled a physical and refil Susan said ok great... But surprise surprise when I get there the "blank" nurse of dr Jossett says "she's not gna be able to do "all" if that today and that I have to make seperate appointments... Really?! And this nurse? Dear god she is an absolute nightmare. She's the type of… person that no matter how much you smile at her or try to be in good mood she just brings you down with her. She's a young black girl who I'm assuming is dr jossetts nurse. So I say ok let me just talk to her about something very random like my small back pain but I just get my refil since I'm running out. So that's exactly what I do.., no physical. I then take my proscription to the store where they tell me that dr Jossett specifically wrote on there that can not get it filled for another week and a half...I call the office to see if they can just make the call to pharmacy but "she's not allowed" and let me remind u once again Iv been on same med for almost 5+ years and never once had a problem... I then ask that god forsaken nurse if she can get my order for the X-rays cuz the one she wrote is for a place my insurance doesn't cover and at first she makes ME google the number of the place and the she had the audacity to say "I'll do it when I get to it" are you freaking kidding? I still contained myself said thanks and hung up. I then called the office again to see what I had to get from them to change my doctor and instead of asking if everything was ok (considering if been going to only them for so long) she just tell me to find a doc and have them send for you medical records... I am so dissatisfied/disappointed as much as I love dr burton himself this clinic is going down with the type of nurses and uncaring doctors he has now. I pleased with the nurse that even if she could tell them to fill it 2 days earlier I would be ok but Nooo she's not "allowed". I guess I'll need to find a doctor whom I don't have to drive 2 hrs to see unless ofcourse I start asking for dr burton himself to see me and with my luck he probably won't be able to see me for months since it's his practice and is a busy guy. All I have to say is dr Jossett and her nurse who was relaying her messages are the most uncaring individuals Iv ever met in that office and God forbid I ever go see those two again.

Just the phone call the lady that answered has no customer service skills. (Tiffany) office staff should treat patients with respect and courtesy they have no people skills.
