Dr. Kem Su Hor, MD

Dr. Hor’s bedside manner and patient care is rushed, callous, and indifferent. She comes across as ill-informed and will state inaccuracies repeatedly. I personally had three office visits with her, and in each visit, she stated falsehoods about my own symptoms and history as facts. When an attempt to correct her was made she prioritized arguing with me, then ran out the clock on the appointment without treating me. She has made hundreds of dollars from my insurance company without any care provided, and I had to reapply for a new specialist because she was so abrasive and ineffective.

Patients beware! She is dangerous! She performed a colonoscopy on my mom. Post procedure, my mom experienced severe hemorrhaging for the previous 8 weeks as of this post. My mom went in several weeks after her colonoscopy to discuss the bleeding. Hor told my mom that she didn’t see any bleeding and gave her some steroids delivered through an enema. Absolutely no follow up despite attempts to communicate with her. Regrettably the hemorrhaging hasn’t stopped as of this date. My mom is normally prescribed blood thinners due to her high risk of having a stroke. Sadly my mom developed a clot because Hor failed to treat my mom for her chronic post colonoscopy hemorrhaging. This morning at 10 am my mother had a major stroke. Yet I am still waiting for a call from her office. Please beware!! In fact I have a friend who is a physician and he also told me how hard she is to work with on a professional level. Evidently she knows everything and is a terrible communicator! Perhaps… it is a language barrier???

Worst place ever, wouldn’t recommend for my dog, was seen for GERD, and offered EDG right off the bat instead of alternative meds to begin with. This doctor is only out for your money. I had friends that used to work there that said this place was crazy but doctor was good but obviously that changed. Craziest thing was when I was leaving drove through the back and short older guy had trunk open and there was a whole bunch of medical records in his trunk. Never going back there, hope if your a patient there your records aren’t in his trunk!

I had to fire her after she kept getting things wrong about what she had previously told me, where we met and what medications she had prescribed. She was more worried about finding out WHY I have the problems I have then fixing them. I've had an enlarged spleen and cirrhosis of the liver plus anemia for 6 months now and she still hasn't actually DONE anything about them. This woman is VERY confused and I don't think she should be allowed to treat patients anymore. And she got offended when I mentioned bringing an audio recording device to the appointment. I've NEVER had a physician have a problem with recording appointments.

Do not be trusting fool's,like I was, of Kem Su Hor. She gave the ok, for a operation for my husband, that destroyed his organ,s and him. No mention of risk's or what was being done. He would never be coherent again. They either used him for money,a science project or both at Memorial. My husband was the best part of my life,and I just wanted to bring him home to take care of him. She took that away from me.

I have visited Dr. Hor twice and each time all she did was walk in the room sit at her computer and 95% of her time was spent with her computer. She spoke nothing regarding my condition of constant constipation. She never prescribed or discussed my possible need for a Colonoscopy or any other tests that bring forth the cause of my constant constipation. Each visit (a total of 2) lasted about 5 minutes. The last visit she gave me 3 sample bottles of 30 capsules each and a prescription for Linzess. I am still constipated and take a Linzess capsule once every other day. Visitations resulted in being prescribed constipation medication without any professional advice; tests and/or referrals to correct the problem of constant constipation.

Avoid, it isn't worth the headache. There are many other gastros in town. She is okay. Nothing special. HER STAFF SUCKS! Just about the worst people in the healthcare industry. They are costing her appointments and therefore, money -- and she hasn't a clue this is going on!

Dr Hor's office is the worst gi office in town (also shares with Dr Patel, who is also terrible)!! Office staff is some of the most rude people I've ever spoken to!!!!!!

Dr. Hor and her staff are fantastic. Dr. Hor spent almost an hour with me answering all my questions and going over every detail. I am almost 60 years old and must say that she is the best doctor I have ever had.
