My daughter at age 2 was treated by Dr. Winston in 1991 who put in her last vp shunt after several revisions at other facilities during this time. This shunt lasted until she was 22 years until she had posterior fossa decompression surgery in Ohio which caused a blockage and it had to be revised. My daughter has had 3 revisions since then with the new programmable shunts which have not been successful so far. Dr. winston helped our daughter thrive for a long time during school and college until 2012. Thank you Dr. Winston!!

My son and I have known Dr Winston since 2013 and I think he is a very knowledgeable physician. He is very caring and listens to our questions and concerns.

no one ever seems to care.. your scared.. it's your brain... and you get 5 mins. of very vague info

He totally missed what was wrong with son. Doctor at Healthone didnt miss the problem. This guy is not good, why does he still have a license

He is a very grumpy man and upst my daughter . She has cerebral palsy so picks up on the voice and someone like him should know better than to be angry in a examination room when seeing daughter. It took me hors to calm her down after him. Didnt go back. Seeing another neurosurgeon in town for last six months instead.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Winston's for 10 years. He has been absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to make sure we know what is going on. I would highly recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Winston has been an amazing resource for our son. He treated our son at 9 months of age for Hydrocephalus, and performed a 3rd ventriculostomy. Because the ventriculostomy wasn't fully working, he placed a shunt 2 years later, and then had 1 shunt "flush." Since then, we have been surgery-free. Our son is thriving, and we are grateful for the good care Dr. Winston and his staff provided to us.
